22 Seconds (Women's Murder Club)

22 seconds... until Lindsay Boxer loses her badge-or her life.

SFPD Sergeant Lindsay Boxer has guns on her mind.

There's buzz of a last-ditch shipment of drugs and weapons crossing the Mexican border ahead of new restrictive gun laws. Before Lindsay can act, her top informant tips her to a case that hits disturbingly close to home.

Former cops. Professional hits. All with the same warning scrawled on their bodies:

You talk, you die.

Now it's Lindsay's turn to choose.

The book arrived on time and in good condition. Once again it has a good story line. The only negative is that I don't know whether I had some pages missing or if the proofreader didn't do a good job. In one part Joe Molinari and the FBI agent he was working with were taken prisoner in Mexico by men with automatic weapons. They were bundled into an armoured vehicle, hand cuffed and questioned. The next time they are mentioned they are back home! It does not state whether it was cartel men who took them, or whether they were released or somehow escaped and if so why they were released. I hate it when there are loose ends but otherwise a good read.

It is very simple really. If you have read and enjoyed any/all "Women's Murder Club" books you don't need me to say this is another very good read. A page turner written to his usual formula (which seems to annoy some?) Short chapters that keep you in suspense and needing to read on. The usual characters. Good plot developments and twists. I read it in 3 days. 22 books! If the formula works, please don't change it. Recomnded.

…in this series. Kept you involved and guessing. All the characters involved. More than just the girls getting together to swap stories. Surprise ending!!! Good read!

I love this series, however, I didn't love this one. Every time I put the book down I had to go back a chapter or two to remember what was happening. That has never happened with any of the other books in this series. Even putting it down for a few days was unusual. This book was flat and disappointing. Definitely not worth the money.

I can't believe the complexity of the story and how it worked out. Fabulous!! I saw a different side of Boxer and Joe, and how difficult marriage is for 2 law enforcement officers with a family. Highly recommend this book!
