Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins--Yasha Nydoorin

I am in love with all these origin stories! It helps so much to flesh out what was happening with the characters before they all met. Yasha’s story was exactly what I expected- a life filled with hardship and pain, but it became a part of her. I knew something tragic would push her over the edge. So a 5 out of 5 for story. 1 out of 5 for the artwork…I just couldn’t get past the style. It just didn’t fit Yasha’s story. It looked like something from a children’s story. I think it would have evoked much more emotion having a more gritty, realistic style. Knowing the same artist is doing the Nott the Brave story almost makes me not want to purchase it. It was refreshing to see other reviews on other sites shared the same displeasure with the art.
