Danger in Numbers: A Novel

On the edge of the Everglades, an eerie crime scene sets off an investigation that sends two agents deep into a world of corrupted faith, greed and deadly secrets

A ritualistic murder on the side of a remote road brings in the Florida state police. Special Agent Amy Larson has never seen worse, and there are indications that this killing could be just the beginning. The crime draws the attention of the FBI in the form of Special Agent Hunter Forrest, a man with insider knowledge of how violent cults operate, who might never be able to escape his own past.

The rural community is devastated by the death in their midst, but people know more than they are saying. As Amy and Hunter join forces, every lead takes them further into the twisted beliefs of a dangerous group that will stop at nothing to see their will done.

Doomsday preppers and small-town secrets collide in this sultry, twisty page-turning thriller.

"A captivating cop fiction with an extra serving of gruesome crime and grit, layered onto a unique setting described in such detail that it transports you right to the middle of it all." -Mystery and Suspense Magazine

This was such an interesting book about cults. Amy and Hunter are such interesting agents. Especially Hunter. He’s FBI now, but as a young child he lived amongst terrifying circumstances and it shaped him as he is today. Is was fun to follow the clue and guess at who was friend or foe.

This was a Really Good book. All the characters came across as true people. The story line was Really Good. It read as Real People with spice and strong real people not just a set of story people. Heather Graham is really good at bringing out each ones character……In this book she keeps you wanting to read each new page. Of course her Krewe of Hunters is my favorite story line, just wish she would bring back a few More of her earlier men and women, like she does Angela and Jackson…..Logan Raintree and many others.. Thank You Heather for the many hours of pleasure you give us in reading your books

I was fascinated by this novel. In many respects it was horrifying because of the atrocities visited upon innocent cult members by the powers that are in the cult. Greed and a thirst for power and money made it all the more horrifying. Thank goodness for really good people like Hunter and Amy. I hope that there is a sequel to this book.

This story has a great couple, fascinating backstory and plot and is full of suspense and a dash of romance. It was very similar to the Krewe stories except there were no ghosts or paranormal to it. There was a big reliance on history though which strengthened the backstory and plot. Great writing and well paced. I enjoyed the story and the ending has me excited for the next book!
