Forever a Hero (The Carsons of Mustang Creek, 3)

"Linda Lael Miller creates vibrant characters and stories I defy you to forget." -Debbie Macomber, #1 New York Times bestselling author

For the youngest Carson brother, finding-and fixing-trouble seems to be all in a day's work

Mace Carson doesn't consider himself a hero. Back in college, he came upon a woman in trouble and intervened-but he was just one irate Wyoming cowboy with his boots planted firmly on the side of right. Now a successful vintner, Mace is shocked to be reunited with the woman he saved. But it turns out she's in Wyoming on business…a corporate executive representing the company that wants to buy his winery. Only, he's not selling.

Kelly Wright has never forgotten that horrible night ten years ago when Mace came to her rescue…has never forgotten him. The surprising success of a winery in the middle of ranch country has brought her to Mustang Creek, and she's secretly thrilled to discover Mace at the helm. Reluctant to mix business with pleasure, Kelly vows to keep things professional, until her attacker is released from prison and comes for vengeance…against both of them.

Actually, I’ve been catching up on my reading. One of my books was the first to the trilogy. I didn’t know it was a trilogy when purchased; therefore, I had to get the other two books. I was not disappointed. Both were fantastic, especially this one!

I just like this author's books. Each series related to previous series.

Series where you watch a town or a family struggle and succeed, and find love along the way, are the best! There is more depth to the whole series. Look to this series to keep you hooked!

3.5 Stars, light romance. Stand-alone that is easy to follow. Storyline that floats along the surface, no deep developments. It does not make any sense that the ranch would not have security measures. Believable characters and dialogue. When they were younger, they’d tangled often, gone beyond heated words to flying fists, as fierce as three junkyard dogs after the same bone. And even then, if challenged by an outsider, they would’ve stood back-to-back, bloody-knuckled and fiery-eyed, and fought as long and as hard as they had to, not for themselves, but for each other. “And speaking as one workaholic to another, remember that life is short, and it won’t be what you did that causes you regret, when your time comes. It’ll be what you intended to do and didn’t.” ..."What I’m trying to say is, if there’s a problem, men go ahead and try to solve it right away. A woman will consider why it happened in the first place, what it means.' No desire to re-read this story. It did not hold my interest as her other works have. Remember this is my personal opinion and does not reflect on the author.

Love reading Linda Lael Miller's books. Many are in a series and you may find some of the same characters in a different book but the main mjist may be about them and not a previous one. Makes you want to go from one book to the other.
