Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. An LGBTQ+ graphic novel about life, love, and everything that happens in between: this is the second volume of HEARTSTOPPER, for fans of The Art of Being Normal, Holly Bourne and Love, Simon.

Nick and Charlie are best friends. Nick knows Charlie's gay, and Charlie is sure that Nick isn't.

But love works in surprising ways, and Nick is discovering all kinds of things about his friends, his family ... and himself.

Heartstopper is about friendship, loyalty and mental illness. It encompasses all the small stories of Nick and Charlie's lives that together make up something larger, which speaks to all of us.

This is the second volume of Heartstopper, with more to come.

Heartstopper is absolutely heartwarming. Charming and full of heart it is a wonderful story. Though the story is simple and done many times before, this is no way detracts from the enjoyment of reading it. The artwork is particularly cute. All around a beautiful piece when you need something good.

Ha sido un giro muy dulce, pero cuando digo dulce puede que incluso llegue a dar empache. Bueno ese ha sido en mi caso, pero, no por eso no estoy diciendo que la historia entre Nick y Charlie pierda el encanto y la ternura

*Squeal* Every single POSITIVE review about this comic series is true. It’s pure fluff (and slightly unrealistic with the dialogue), but it’s the wholesome and healthy representation of two guys discovering their feelings for each other. I really like that there’s care in showing Nick figuring things out as it feels right for him. But my favorite is the bonus scenes of someone’s backstory at the end—no spoilers! *bunny hops to volume 3*

I love seeing more of the story focused on Nick for part two, and his coming out. While I love Charlie's story, Nick's shift over the course of this story was refreshing and interesting. There's definitely a lot of growth here, and showing how someone deals with sexuality in the wake of misunderstanding or downright homophobic, biphobic friends is well-handled. This left me wanting part 3, and with the inclusion of a story of two side characters, left me wanting an entire graphic novel series about them as well.

Wonderfully honest and endearing graphic novel about two teenage boys in love and the struggles that come with it. This second book of the Heartstopper series unfolds in a slow but steady pace. I liked that it touches many of the problems that teenagers face when they have to endure peer pressure, first love, and their questions about their own place in society. A second love story is also included, regarding a non-binary and lesbian couple. The drawings are precious and support the story in the most complimentary way. We cannot wait for part 3! Four thumbs up from a mother and and a curious tween.
