I'm Not Scared, You're Scared

From the incomparable host of "Late Night with Seth Meyers" comes a hilarious new picture book.

When you're a bear who is easily scared, it's hard to have friends. Fortunately, Bear has one: Rabbit, who is very brave. One day, Rabbit urges Bear to face his fears and embark on an adventure together. However, things don't entirely go as planned, and the two friends learn the true meaning of bravery.

Equal parts hilarious and touching, this funny tale of adventure, bravery, and daring rescue will both inspire the adventurous spirit in all of us and make us laugh along the way. With the unfailingly witty voice of one of America's favorite comedians, Seth Meyers's debut picture book is bound for hilarity history.

Editorial Reviews

"Sayegh's...digital illustrations offer impeccable visual timing and comic expressiveness in cinematically framed, richly textured images. It's a satisfyingly silly adventure that doesn't undercut Bear's need for the occasional life hack."--PW Reviews

When I saw Seth Meyers on The Tamron Hall Show, and this book was introduced, it tickled me so that I ordered the Kindle version immediately. I was so disappointed when I opened it on my Fire tablet and found I could not enlarge the type. It will be a struggle for me to read it. I am still debating returning the book. I could order the hardcover edition instead. How is a grandparent supposed to read this story to their grandchild without a magnifying glass?

This short book has 21 colorful pages, and tells the story of Bear and Rabbit; two close friends that decide to head out on an adventure. Bear is scared of almost everything, while his friend Rabbit is brave and she leads the way. Bear is constantly taking precautions, and slowing down their progress; but when an emergency arises, Bear must summon all of his courage to save his friend. This was a fun book to read with the little ones, and they seemed to enjoy the illustrations of the very animated characters. Bear's constant worrying is amusing, since he is such a large and powerful animal. The book shows how it is perfectly fine to be scared sometimes; but also that sometimes you need to be brave to help a friend. 5 stars from the kids.
