This book couldn’t have come at a better time! The last 2 years have been overwhelming to say the least – both professionally and personally. My work load and stress level has never been higher and my personal life and lack of personal growth are at an all-time low. Jody’s book walks you through a self-assessment to help identify the behaviors you have adopted over time that you think are protecting you, but in fact are adding to the stress, anxiety, and many pain points in your life. Jody gives specific, practical and realistic steps to break old habits/patterns that do not serve you and develop the skills to respond to challenges, both professionally and personally, with optimal performance – become mentally fit. The book gives you tools to manage your emotions, take control, shift your perspective, adjust your mindset and operate at your fullest potential. Leading Lightly was enjoyable, relatable and informative. It was as easy as ABC (SEE)!

...and I've read a bunch. This one starts with the foundation and addresses the underlying success factor: my own mindset. I'm finding myself thinking about mental fitness all the time. I'm more aware of what triggers me and how long it takes me to get un-triggered. It's another level of self awareness, another perspective. I'm grateful for this book. Reading it made a difference for me, even before I'd reached the 3rd chapter.

The complexities of our world today - whether in our personal lives, work lives, or in our broader communities - are accelerating at a pace never before seen. This book is a lifeline for all of us trying to find our way through these challenging times - it encourages you to "start where you are" and embraces the heart, mind, and spirit of inner reflection with actionable approaches in your work and personal life. If you have enjoyed reading and applying lessons from Brene Brown, Eckhart Tolle, and/or modern Stoicism you owe it to yourself to read this book and apply this author's powerful lessons to your life.

You ever get that feeling like someone is talking about you or writing about what you are going through? That is exactly how I felt reading this ENTIRE book. As a young leader I thought stress, anxiety and metal fatigue was just part of leadership. Jody’s methodology in Leading lightly on how to create “Mental Fitness” is so powerful. I am so excited this book is out, I have practiced this methodology with Jody for the last few years and not only has it helped me create a balance in my work life, but I can also apply the same lessons in my personal life. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to become a better person or better leader!
