Little ones love books filled with color and fun photos. In this book, your child can see himself in most of the pages. This is a mirror like Book, so that the child views a page and sees himself in the mirror. If he is old enough, he knows what he looks like, if not, the adult can explain each time, see yourself, Ava, that is you! Along with the extraordinary illustrations by the author, Eric Carole, there is a fun story. In all of the photos, Ava sees a lion in her photo, a butterfly, a leaf or a puppy. What fun for the child, and for the adults who read this story. The child can identify each object, and then begin to recognize himself in each mirror. This is a hard cardboard book, safe for all little ones. The book is written in rhyme, which is one of the most fun methods of reading to children. This is a book that children and adults will not tire of. The illustrations are bright, colorful and vivid. A book for all children. Recommended. prisrob 07-21-18

I read his books to my kids when they were little. I bought this one for my 1 year-old grandson. He loves it!

We wanted to add to our board book collection, and I thought something with mirrors would make story time more engaging for our 2-month old (at the time). He's nearly 3 months now, and we use it almost daily. While we rotate out other high-contrast board books for our daily readings, this is engaging enough for tummy time! Seriously, when we went on vacation, it was one of two books we brought with us and is the only one consistently in the diaper bag. Given the rhymes and lovely artwork of Eric Carle (RIP), it's a book that could really be used from 1-2 months (whenever they become interested in mirrors, depending on development) on.

My 12 month old loves this book, turning the pages is easy for her and she LOVES looking at herself in the mirror. Great quality book

This book is such a pleasure. I have a slight addiction to buying my baby board books so when I saw this one with a mirror, I just couldn't resist. My baby is 7 months old and has recently started showing interest when I read to her. She got very excited during each page turn and she got to stare at her reflection. The designs themselves are cute, as well as the text. My baby isn't able to follow along with the interactive parts yet, but she loves when mom acts goofy so that part was a hit too. I definitely recommend this adorable book as a fun part of a collection.
