We are back in Arkansas and this time the story belongs to undercover FBI agent/lawyer Michelle Fraser and police investigator/former lawyer , Ethan Scott. When a double homicide of prominent individuals occurs, both members of the law firm she’s investigating, these two come together. Is the homicide connected to what Michelle is investigating? Meanwhile, Ethan suspects Michelle is a cop but the main goal is to unravel the mystery and homicide. This was a whodunnit filled with suspects and towards the end, a little bit of romance. Though this reader is partial to book one, this was still an engaging story with likable main characters. It could be read as a standalone, but for fuller enjoyment, I would highly recommend reading the previous book since incidents from that story are referred to in this book. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
