My 2yr old grnd dtr loves Pete the Cat story books!! This one is a novelty because of the pull tabs only, story is just so so. The box it arrived in was large and unnecessary!!! It’s a thin paperback book for goodness sakes!!! What a waste!!!

Ok I knocked a star off because this one was not as clever and rhyme-y as the other Pete the Cat books that we own but my 3.5 year old still did enjoy this one. Also I think the flaps are hard to open enough to read. I don't think this will be a huge hit for long like the other more classic pete books.

I, personally, am not a huge fan of James Dean's artwork in his "Pete the Cat" series, but the overall message in each story is a lot of fun and simple to grasp for very young readers. This book in particular is a lot of fun because it is a pop-up, pull-out-type book that is very interactive with children. I would recommend with children that are a bit older or have more hand control, because the flaps can tear with rough usage.

Not happy with the bubble wrap shipping container the book was punctured almost every page is damaged. My 3 year old doesn't know its broken just wants to read her new book. The book is a fun pull tab story, a good Halloween story.

The flaps on this book are flimsy and awkward. They will be easily ripped. In addition, the story is just okay. The pictures are great, however. I wish that the authors would go back to the musical format of the original books. Most of the ones, including this one, that don't feauture the collaboration with Eric Litwin are just not of the same caliber of creativity or engagement.
