Regretting You

The #1 Wall Street Journal bestseller that People Magazine calls "a poignant, addictive read."

From #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends with Us comes a novel about family, first love, grief, and betrayal that will touch the hearts of both mothers and daughters.

Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike.

Morgan is determined to prevent her daughter from making the same mistakes she did. By getting pregnant and married way too young, Morgan put her own dreams on hold. Clara doesn't want to follow in her mother's footsteps. Her predictable mother doesn't have a spontaneous bone in her body.

With warring personalities and conflicting goals, Morgan and Clara find it increasingly difficult to coexist. The only person who can bring peace to the household is Chris―Morgan's husband, Clara's father, and the family anchor. But that peace is shattered when Chris is involved in a tragic and questionable accident. The heartbreaking and long-lasting consequences will reach far beyond just Morgan and Clara.

While struggling to rebuild everything that crashed around them, Morgan finds comfort in the last person she expects to, and Clara turns to the one boy she's been forbidden to see. With each passing day, new secrets, resentment, and misunderstandings make mother and daughter fall further apart. So far apart, it might be impossible for them to ever fall back together.

This is a fast paced book that has many surprises. I couldn’t put it down . So many twists and turns. I highly recommend this book. There’s drama, romance, mystery & even some LOL moments. This is the 2nd book I’ve read by Colleen Hoover and I’m looking forward to reading many more of her books. She’s fantastic!

I loved this story! It was my first by this author. Her characters were realistic in their actions. The storyline was also true to life... like listening to your neighbor tell their life story. It was a page turner due to all of the awful events that were transpiring between people who didn't see the whole picture. I can't wait to read more Colleen Hoover stories!

❤️‍🩹 Book Review ❤️‍🩹 I think this may be one of my favorite @colleenhoover books! ✔️ Healing from traumatic event ✔️ Dual POV ✔️ Second Chance ✔️ Cinnamon Roll MMCs As with any CoHo, Regretting You was full of heartache and gut punches, but the banter and the emotional tension pull you through to a very satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed the premise and plot, a dueling mother-daughter story as they both deal with the death of the main man in both of their live which (of course) unearths other secrets. I rooted for both FMC's though Morgan (the mom) was the most frustrating of the two and her decisions (while understandable in the situation) left me feeling 😒 I also loved both MMCs and appreciated that they were both grounded and well-adjusted and were able to give space to the FMCs or push them into action, depending on the situation. All in all, I'd give this one 4.5⭐️ Steam 🔥🔥🔥 Banter 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️ Swoon 💕💕💕💕

Seeing as this is only my second Colleen Hoover book, my plan was to go in not expecting the same emotional attachment like I did with Reminders Of Him. Well, I was wrong. Within the first few chapters this story had me gasping, clasping my heart, covering my mouth shocked at what was playing out. There was some laughing and cringing thrown in there as well. So that emotional attachment ban did not hold up too well. The way Morgan’s feelings were described when she refers to Jonah made me believe in their love. Those stolen glances, the way her heart would overflow with emotion, and how they could wordlessly communicate with each other had me saying, maybe loudly, “just kiss him already!” Jonah has a patience of a god watching sloths race. Even finding out how Clara used Miller, he showed grace towards her. Knowing she is so emotionally distraught and just needed someone to be there while she had her breakdown, he was there for whatever she needed. He may be my favorite character in the whole book. That video!
