She’s Back!! This is the Sherilyn Kenyon we fell in love with so many years ago. Arial has been cursed. She wakes up with no memory of who she is. As a human. There was something ethereal about her. Something not quite natural or of this world. “I know you don’t understand grief. You’re not capable of it. But you will, little reaper. You will!” Valteri The Godless has lived a life most people can’t imagine. He’s never known kindness until Arial comes into his life. Good Against evil. To be hinting don’t know if I would call this a Dream Hunter novel but we do see some of our beloved characters. It’s really more like a mix of one of her earlier historical and Dark Hunters. What I do know is this story was spectacular. This author has been through some crazy stuff the last few years and I’m so glad she’s overcome the evil in her life.

The world is right again with the incomparable Sherrilyn Kenyon’s amazing Dark-Hunter series returned to us. In Shadow Fallen we meet the cursed Valteri and Ariel. Fearful of subterfuge and betrayal, Ariel and Valteri work together with the common goal of finding what they need to survive whilst falling in love. The enemies in this plot are new and spark instant curiosity. Sherrilyn has given us our Dark-Hunter world in this beautifully crafted tale and a moment with some of our favorite Dark-Hunter characters. Shadow Fallen is a great standalone story, but adds new depth to the intricate Dark-Hunter world. Thank you to NetGalley, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Tor Books for this amazing opportunity to read and review this ARC of Shadow Fallen. I am looking forward to reading many more adventures in the worlds that Sherrilyn weaves in the future.

4.25 stars--SHADOW FALLEN is the sixth in instalment in Sherrilyn Kenyon’s adult DREAM-HUNTERS paranormal/romance series-a part of the author’s DARK HUNTERS world. This is Valteri the ‘Godless’ and Ariel the Arelim’s story line. SHADOW FALLEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. NOTE: SHADOW FALLEN is a mediaevil story line that takes place several hundred years before modern times, and reveals some of the events leading up to one god’s powerful need for revenge- a deity war between heaven and h*ll- a prequel of sort, in preparation for the author’s QUEEN OF ALL SHADOWS and SHADOWS WITHIN. Told from third person perspective SHADOW FALLEN follows Ariel, a Arelim, in the wake of a curse against our story line heroine. The Arelim are the guardians of humanity who escort the souls upon the death of the body but an old crone, with the help of demon spawn Belial, has cursed our heroine for taking the soul of the son who died in battle. Having lost her heavenly powers and any memory of the past, Ariel finds herself falling for her would-be rescuer, a warrior known as Valteri the Godless, a man whose true nature has been bound by a seal. As Valteri fights his attraction to Ariel, Ariel will recover her memories, and discover the truth about the curse, and the man with whom she is falling in love. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Ariel and Valteri, and the fall-out as both Ariel and Valteri sacrifice themselves for the love of each other. 4.5 stars!! What a great return for Sherrilyn Kenyon! Happy to be transported back to this world again, finally. Feel so very lucky to have gotten an early copy to read and review. It's as if no time has passed at all from the last book. Love Valteri and Ariel and their stories both separate and together. As always the interesting worlds and characters are the driving force of the story. Fantastic read!!! Awesome cameo!! I look forward to more!!!
