The Night Before Christmas (Little Golden Book)

Love this classic Christmas book, I purchased this when my little boy was 1 and his first Christmas understanding. We have read it every year ever since (he is 8 this year). Its such a classic and my children love listening to it on the run up to Santa coming. Great service and price

My four kids still insist that their dad reads from this book every Christmas Eve. The illustrations are beautiful, timeless and is an irreplaceable tradition in our house. They all work in the medical field, and we now have to schedule our Christmas Eve reading until whomever is working that night is free to listen in between their rounds. After watching them sit with their spouses this year, I realized that they all needed copies of their own so they wouldn't have to argue about who got our book someday...so I purchased 4 copies, and I've put them back for Christmas presents next year! Beautiful book, and a timeless family tradition for generations to come!

How does one give 1-star to “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”? Well, I’m glad you asked. The *poem* can be found anywhere. The hard copy version (old Golden Book and reproductions) had illustrations like in the picture that accompanies this Amazon listing. When I couldn’t find my physical copy to read to the grandkids, I thought: A-ha! Kindle! I was delighted to see a Kindle version for this specific edition with the mouse family. Alas, the Kindle version does NOT share the same animations as the physical.... not even close. It is at this moment that I point out the trivial effort of finding the Clement Moore poem..... the text is widely available. The illustrations by Cyndy Szekeres are what make the printed version special. Alas, the kindle edition was a massive disappointment. On the plus side, it was $0.99 .....

This board book is simply lovely. The art is bright and engaging and just perfect for drawing in little eyes.

The best of both worlds. Reading the “The Night Before Christmas” has always been a beloved tradition for us and I was just delighted to find this beautifully illustrated version by the amazing ME. I have been collecting children’s books illustrated by ME for my grandchildren and this is a gorgeous addition to their library. The detail, imagination and whimsy in her illustrations of this book are breathtaking. This may just be my favorite of our collection.
