Such a great story that I dreamt I was on a boat & there was a bomb on there . So many twists & turns. I just live Allison's ' writing ! Now what shall I read 😟

Kara and Matt’s team are in San Juan islands off of Washington state. A cruise boat was bombed and 9 people died. Wa it the environmental protesters or the widow of the richest guy on the boat? The team goes into the small town to investigate. Looking forward to the next in the series.
Genre Minx Review
The Wrong Victim was a bit of a battle for me. Kara has never been the character I cheered for and she really had me wanting to walk away from this story and series at the start. Notice I said "at the start," she finally stopped complaining and lamenting about her previous life and career at some point and thank God for that. When she is doing her part in the investigation I really enjoy her, it is when she gets bitter and angry that she bugs me. Loved the mystery and the investigation in this story. Plenty of leads and possibilities to explore. The team is really starting to come together. I will be excited when they truly become a mobile response unit. I don't know how I feel about the drama surrounding Matt and Kara. It does add some excitement and spice but....it also brings a whole lot of tension and not the fun kind. Meh on that. Overall, I enjoyed reading The Wrong Victim and I hopefully will enjoy the next installment.

A bomb explodes aboard a charter cruise boat just as it leaves the harbor. FBI Special Agent Matt Costa and his team are called in. Nine people were killed, West End Charter had been targeted by an environmental group, were they responsible or was someone aboard the boat the target and everyone else collateral damage. If you enjoy a good mystery you will love The Wrong Victim , I couldn't but it down. Allison is one of my favorite authors, the characters and story make for a an easy read.
