Under a Killer Moon (A Buckhorn, Montana Novel)

A celebration becomes a crime scene with a killer hiding in plain sight…

With the 125th anniversary of Buckhorn, Montana, on the horizon, it's the job of straitlaced marshal Leroy Baggins to keep the peace during the four-day celebration. But his focus is distracted when private security owner TJ Walker arrives to help with the event. She's clearly someone who doesn't play by the rules, a loose cannon who pushes him outside his comfort zone.

Unlike the marshal, not much flusters a woman like TJ. Having once been a victim of violence, she's worked hard to become specialized in her field and in protecting her heart. But this assignment is anything but ordinary. She didn't expect this sudden attraction to Leroy-and she never could have predicted she'd come face-to-face with her attacker from years ago.

As thousands of revelers descend on the small town, what TJ and Leroy don't know is that a killer is among them and that they're in the crosshairs. Forced to team up together, they'll have to figure out how to stay alive when anything that can go wrong…does.

Bonus novella!

When the past comes knocking, Gertrude Durham will have no choice but to open the door-and her heart-in Before Memories Fade by B.J. Daniels.

Another great story by BJ. Has romance, suspense and mystery. Can’t wait for the next book to come out. Will we ever find out whatever happened to Jennifer and who did it?

Every story in this series is fantastic! I love the characters in Buckhorn! This small town is quirky, but they sure have a lot of danger going on there! In this installment, the town is celebrating its 125th anniversary and Vi Mullens is in charge of preparing it. She is in her element! She doesn't know that her niece, Jen, in the state psych ward, is also preparing to escape and attend the celebration too! Leroy Baggins, the "by the book" marshal is tasked with keeping the peace but with all the people coming to town, he needs help so Vi hired extra security in the form of TJ Watkins & her team. TJ and Leroy couldn't be more opposite, but I sure did enjoy their characters and their relationship! They had their hands full with all the action going on during the celebration! Then, the governor & his assistant decide to show up and even more action happens. Lots of revelation happens and yep, there might even be some murder and attempted murder! I love how we get to delve into the thoughts and feelings of the characters. Leroy is my favorite type of male hero - strong and quiet yet heroic. A wonderful book! I received a copy of this book from the author but wasn't obligated to review. These opinions are mine.
