From the illustrations to the text this book did not disappoint. This book is a great way to began the conversation on race and other difficult topics within the culture. This book definitely belongs in every child’s book collect and every public and school library’s shelf.

The illustrations are really nice but the content is mediocre at best. I really don’t think it was worth $15 because of the content.

I’m an advocate for supporting black authors but this book was not at all what I expected for the price, it’s actually a total disappointment because it takes all of 3 minutes to read, there are no names at all in the book and it is poor quality with no story line from beginning to the end!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK… I’m not sure why this book was published with no names to indicate the pictures in the book!!
