Annihilation Road (Torpedo Ink)

All paths lead to destruction in the new Torpedo Ink novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan.

Savin "Savage" Pajari is convinced he's not worth a damn thing. He's not like his brothers. He's a sadistic monster, a killer-a man no woman could truly love. So it completely throws him when a stranger risks her life for his, pushing him out of the way and taking the hit that would have sent him six feet under. If he had any kind of sense, he'd leave her alone, but Savage can't get the woman with a smart mouth and no sense of self-preservation out of his head. With one kiss, he's lost.

Seychelle Dubois has spent her entire life not feeling much of anything, until Savage comes along and sets her whole body on fire. Kissing him was a mistake. Letting him get close would be a catastrophe. He's the most beautiful-and damaged-man she's ever met. He has a way of getting under her skin, and what he's offering is too tempting to resist.

Seychelle knows so little about Savage or the dangerous world of Torpedo Ink, but his darkness draws her like a moth to a flame. Loving him could mean losing herself completely to his needs-needs she doesn't understand but is eager to learn. But what Savage teaches her could destroy her.

This is really good. Consent is key. Communication is everything. It’s so well written and gives a fantastic insight into Savages character and it’s a really enjoyable book :)

Although the story is based as a follow on to the Drake sisters and Sisters of the heart series it follows on through the characters of Torpedo Ink and although the sex is getting darker the other story lines running alongside weren’t, whether that was a conscious decision to provide a little relief to the main characters, it could be but now left hanging for the next carry over instalment !

This is a difficult subject. How was Christine Feehan going to write a.romance for a sexual sadist who feels.it.would.be dangerous to have some one to love him with his proclivities. I could not put this book down and thank God the it is only a couple of weeks.until the remainder.of their story. If you can't handle the darker side of life and sex this isn't for you but those of us who wants the good for every one then this is foryou

Let me start by saying these books will not be for you if you have a problem with explicit sex, they also incorporate a great deal of fetishism. That said I really enjoy this series, the characters in the series are a motorcycle club made up of fifteen men and two women. They are the only survivors from an abusive "school" that they were imprisoned in as small children. There they were exposed to sexual, physical and psychological abuse every day of their lives and it went on for over twenty years. Their early years have damaged them permanently emotionally and mentally, they have all developed their own coping mechanisms for dealing with what they went through -------- this is especially true about their sex lives-----------. None of them ever believed there could be a woman out there who would or.could ever love them. But, one by one they are starting to have hope as their brethren have met the perfect woman for them. But Savage, he is different, the worst sexual deviance s were carried out on him from a very young age and as he grew older the only way for him to survive was to become like his abusers. Even his.brothers and sisters in Torpedo Ink ( their motorcycle gang) do not believe he is safe around women. Then he meets Seychelle, she sacrifices herself to save his life, getting injured in the process and Savage finds himself unable to walk away even though he knows he should. Savages story is such a complex one it's being told over two books. Those who have read the series know of his issues and how he struggles with who he is, the question is can Seychelle be strong enough to give him what he needs, her total surrender. I said I like this series and I do it reminds me a bit of the Black Dagger Brotherhood flawed men who struggle to do the right thing and who live by their own code of honour. Yes the sex scenes do sometimes make me uncomfortable, I think unless you are predisposed to enjoy fetishes you can struggle to see the appeal but there's no denying in Ms Feehans hands the scenes are incredibly erotic.
