Christmas at Holiday House

In the town of Silver Bells, there's always a feeling of Christmas in the air… Let love-and RaeAnne Thayne-melt your heart this holiday season!

This New Year will bring widowed nurse Abigail Powell a fresh start in a different city. Excited about the chance to create an unforgettable Christmas for her young son in picturesque Silver Bells, Colorado, Abby has been hired to take care of her dear friend's recuperating grandmother. But sprightly senior Winnie insists she doesn't need looking after. What she does need is help decorating her historic mansion, Holiday House, for a seasonal town fundraiser. Abby warms to the festive task, but she'll have to contend with her own personal Grinch: Winnie's prickly grandson, Ethan Lancaster.

Ethan Lancaster is good at a lot of things. Relationships surely aren't one of them. His ex-fiancée convinced Ethan he was incapable of love, and he believes her…up until the moment he impulsively kisses Abby. What is it about this vibrant woman and her sweet son that knocks his world off-kilter? He knows they're leaving town after Christmas. He just didn't expect they'd be taking a little of his heart with them. But as he and Abby work together on the magical Holiday House through the record cold weather, visions of a different future dance in his head…one filled with warmth, love and a new beginning for them both.

Don't miss Thayne's next release, The Path to Sunshine Cove: three love stories in one with the emotional pull of Debbie Macomber, Barbara Delinsky and Susan Wiggs!

This story was so real. So easy to imagine the town and people, Winnie and the rest of the characters. Real, sadness, tenderness, but lots of laughter and sweetness, with the five year old boy. Very emotional and very good. Didn't want it to end.

This is the book I've been waiting for! Terrific, well thought out characters with a storyline that kept you reading right till the end! I was a huge fan of the Hope's Crossing/Lake Haven series and the small town of Silver Bells is along the same lines. While I feel it ended rather abruptly (would loved to have seen a wedding chapter), still I loved this book and look forwards to more in the series. Thank you Raeanne Thayne!

A lovely heartwarming holiday read. It’s a story of love and loss, of family and relationships, of second chances. The story is well written with fully developed characters. It’s a joyful Christmas story of a fabulous Colorado town and it’s kind, charitable people. You’ll love it.

It was wonderful to visit Silver Bells, Colorado. Abby at the request of her best friend, Lucy, is heading there with her son, Christopher, to help Lucy's grandmother recuperate from a bad fall. Abby is still grieving the tragic death of her husband two years ago. Trying to put it all behind her she is planning to relocate. She wants to go somewhere that people don't look at her with sad eyes and she can start fresh. Ethan is Lucy's brother. Both Ethan and Lucy had a tumultuous upbringing. They were bounced around between parents until Winnie stepped in and brought them to her home. Neither of them feel they could love or be loved. Ethan is drawn to Abby but is afraid he would only hurt her. Jose, Ethan's best friend, has been in love with Lucy for quite some time. When he makes his declaration and tells her wants forever with her she is stunned. She tells him she is not a forever kind of girl. With the holidays approaching much is going on at Winnie's fabulous house. Will the holidays spark something in each of these individuals? Can they each get over their past and move on? This is a heart-warming Christmas tale that is sure to put a smile on your face as you turn the last page. I loved it!

I had a really good time in the town of Silver Bells. I loved the Holiday House and Grandma Winnie was great. The romance between Ethan and Abby was one for the books. Of course I can't leave out sweet Christopher. I will be sitting on pins and needles until next year to see what Thayne gives us for Christmas
