I’ve known Kim’s clothing and beauty lines on QVC for years and she’s become my favorite designer. I have a closet of her clothes brand to prove it! Now I feel like she’s really touched my life in a positive way by sharing the stories and struggles of her life and how they’ve led her to follow her calling. I think I’m ready now to start my journey after hearing these wise words from “America’s Best Girlfriend,” Kim Gravel! This book would make such a nice gift for your mom, daughter, graduate, or best girlfriend!

This book is a must read for ladies ranging from tweens and beyond!! Kim gives such great inspiration through the stories of her life. I am a mother of three adult daughters, grandmother of five granddaughters and a volunteer Bible study teacher of middle and high school girls. The only qualifications I have for this role are my life experiences, good and bad. The expectations of today’s world makes confidence the hardest part of their struggles, causing them to compromise their beliefs and values so many times. Kim's story is proof of what can happen when we have confidence in ourselves, our abilities, our dreams, etc. -- even when other people don't. Collecting Confidence: Start Where You Are to Become the Person You Were Meant to Be is honest, funny, faithful, brimming with "Kimisms" that will motivate, move you to believe in your own beauty as a human being. According to Kim, it's NOT a self-help book because there's nothing wrong with you. There's only ONE you, This book reinforces the belief that everything you need to become the person you're meant to be is already inside of you. You owe it to yourself to answer the call, excavate the greatness within, live your life on purpose. and level up your life. Raised Catholic, I normally don’t read books with a Christian theme due to the religious overtones. Although there are scriptures weaved throughout the book, Kim doesn’t tell the reader what and how to believe. Collecting Confidence’s positive message is universal; take what resonates with you and leave the rest. You won’t be disappointed! P.S. I bought the Kindle version of the book.

This is an authentically honest and helpful book worth owning and passing on to someone you love. Kim courageously reveals the highs and lows of her self-examined life following God. I especially appreciate the courage she showed in not allowing the world to tell her “ who “ she was after losing the Miss America pageant. Loving others as we love ourselves is a Biblical command, and we need to be loving ourselves in healthy ways in order to love others well. We are each a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of God, and Kim’s encouraging masterpiece novel sketches the pathway to loving yourself enough to step out in faith “ believing “ that God has a fabulous plan and purpose to your life, ( which HE does !!!) as she urges you to risk loving yourself enough to pursue it. This is a “ book that matters”. I read half of it in one sitting…highly motivating…. highly recommend. It is not a self-help book… it is an inspirational one.
