Court (Crave, 4)

The #1 New York Times Bestselling Series
A USA Today Bestseller
A Publishers Weekly Bestseller

No one survived the last battle unscathed. Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don't recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I'm not sure I'll ever break through.

Now war is coming, and we're not ready. We're going to need an army to have any hope of winning. But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers. Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us.

And that's saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods.

There's no guarantee that anyone will be left standing when the dust settles, but if we want to save this world, I have no choice. I'll have to embrace every part of me...even the parts I fear the most.

Don't miss a single book in the series that spawned a phenomenon! The Crave series is best enjoyed in order:
Crave
Crush
Covet
Court
Charm
Cherish

Wow. Where to start? I loved reading this book. I am in love with Grace and Hudson’s relationship, so I’m glad to see them and their interactions. I also love that the relationship drama kind of took a backseat to the action. So much happened in this book! I love that even though it’s YA, the stakes are raising and no one is truly safe. This isn’t as lighthearted as the prior entry’s to the series, but it is just as fun and addictive. And MS WOLFF. HOW DARE TOU END A BOOK LIKE THAT. Please pick up this series. It is one fun ride.

This book is....I am not sure what the right word is. Each book somehow makes me more emotional, and I become more invested in the story. If you asked me if I was going to continue reading this series while I was reading Crave, I probably would have told you no. Up until the last ~10% or so of Crave I was just going through the motions of reading it, trying to force myself to read it because I knew, I knew, there was going to be something about it that would make me fall in love with this series, but I was struggling. I have told everyone who I have tried to get to read this series the same thing - give it a fair shot, and if you are indifferent about Crave, trust me, I get it, but get to the end and if you still don't like it fine, but trust me. Just read the end. And then they are hooked. These books progressively have gotten better, the characters have gotten more involved and deeper, and I just...I really am struggling for words. A refresher on the background of this series. This was series had been slated to be a trilogy. Then, due to the massive amount of worldbuilding and character creation Tracy put into this (and Tracy poured *so much* into this), it became a 4 book series. THEN a 5th book was added, a companion to go after the fourth book finished, but takes place between 1 & 2. Now, we are here with Court being released, Charm on the horizon, and the announcement that Cherish, the 6th(!!!) book in this timeline will be coming out at the end of this year. This is excluding the spinoff that will be coming out next year. A series following characters from this series that I have already grown to love, and I am waiting with bated breath to see what their story will unfold into. But back to this book. To Court. The end that is not the end, but breaks you apart & puts you back together in the way that a fantastic series ending does. I laughed. I teared up. I messaged my friends saying what was happening was unacceptable because my heart was shattering. I watched Grace grow during this series, and as such, I grew along with her. The trials and tribulations she went through lead up to a satisfying ending that I would have been happy with - even without the next two books on the horizon. The fact I feel content with what I read, in relation to both the relationships between friends, mates, and the Big Bad, is astounding to me. Am I still heartbroken over some of the events? Absolutely. But that is because they were written so well. The theories that grew out of Easter Eggs laid out from page 1 of book 1 felt satisfying to unravel during this book. I felt validated that I picked up on clues that had been laid out and buried in metaphor. Watching the strings of the story twist and turn, combining to weave a web of a story that is unlike most other YA that is available today was wonderful. This book is realistic fanta...

The wait was worth it for this one! Nothing is more satisfying than seeing Grace fully come into her own powers, strength, role as a leader, and finding out who she really is. I feel like so much happens in this book. I was nervous about how this group of friends were going to survive and move forward after what happened on the island. Things are somewhat rocky at first as expected but as the story progresses and each person begins to work through things in their own way you can see them all grow just a little bit more. Now for my favorite part of this entire series... Hudson Vega. God how could you not love Husdon Vega?? I loved the first book don't get me wrong because it introduced me to this series but when I got to book two and was introduced to Hudson I became obessed! His character has been through so much pain in his life. He is so misunderstood. He feels so unworthy. Yet he is so strong and not just because of his powers. The love and loyalty he has for Grace, his brother, and his friends makes even the darkest of times seem lighter. Oh and it does help that he is absolutely hilarious! His sarcasm and witty one liners are freaking life! I am pretty sure that over 90% of what I highlighted in this book were things that he said smarting off to people. The rest were him being vulnerable. His character is just everything.... absolutely everything. As for the slight cliffhanger at the end... well I sure am glad we don't have to wait long for the next installment because I am wracking my brain trying to predict where this could possibly go next after the way things ended. No matter what though I know that it's going to be quite entertaining!

Roller Coaster Ride of Emotions...Packed Full of Choices (because there are always choices - good or bad)...Grief Leads to Growth...Become a Great Leader Friendships...Trust...Resolve...Determination...Tears as Pure Strength...Loss...Sacrifice... Hope...Honor...Love...Promises Chess anyone? I've loved this book series since the beginning. It truly feels like one big chess game that isn't being played by the rules. How far would you go to protect those you love? What sacrifices would you be willing to make to keep your loved ones safe? "What do I want to do, or what do I think we should do?" "I will not kneel before a monster." Can't wait to see where the series takes me next.
