This book was everything I hoped for, Aurens growth has been amazing and I love her relationship with Rip. That ending is a hell of a cliffhanger though, especially with a year until the next book 😭
This series has certainly been a wild ride. I saw someone else say that this was a filler book and I can agree on that aspect, however, sometimes those filler books are necessary and bring in small details that will be huge later on. I appreciate how the characters aren’t perfect nor do they seem to miraculously overcome and improve within the span of a few chapters. These characters are messy. Some of them do need more fleshing out but the same could be said of many beloved side characters. , I will say that as far as romantic declarations go, Kennedy uses some heart melting poetry for them. Some of them are pretty reminiscent of other popular romance books, but that doesn’t stop it from making me swoon. I’m personally not a big fan of the spicy scenes but Kennedy has a solid plot and characters that star in the book. She doesn’t let the story become all intimate parts and no plot. So even if you’re not into a lot of spice, this books is still really good for the great story telling. I’m a little anxious to see where this story goes, just because its such a cliff hanger, but I’m excited to see how much our protagonists grow.

This book... I'm struggling to find words... It was amazing and full of heart and love and growth. It was everything I hoped for and sooo much more. My heart hurts in good ways and in bad and I'm devastated I have to wait a year for the last book. Raven Kennedy, you are a goddess for this masterpiece but next time can you go easier on my heart? So heartbroken right now. 😭
