3.5 stars Hidden Amish Target is a fast-paced story about learning to trust in God, since He is the constant source of help and strength. Molly has been struggling with her faith in God since a family tragedy. She still chooses to exercise faith and continue trying to honor Him. When danger chases her, she wants to protect those around her and escape the danger, instead of hoping for vengeance. I love how Molly doesn't harbor much resentment toward her pursuers, even though it would be rather understandable on her part. Zeke has experienced some personal tragedy of his own. He chooses to hold on to his faith to help him cope. I love how protective Zeke is of Molly and how he never hesitates to help her. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book as an interesting escape from the real world! I found the characters' faith journeys beautiful and inspiring!!! I received a free ecopy of this book from the author/publisher. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hidden Amish Target is the next installment in the Amish Country Justice series and is the perfect page-turning addition. After witnessing a murder, Molly Schultz is running for her life, and runs right to old friend Zeke Bender, who will do whatever it takes to protect his friend from the unknown assassins. Both Molly and Zeke have had a run of bad luck in their lives, and are still grappling with the effects, which adds a whole other level to this clean suspense. Though there is a level of predictability, it doesn’t take away from the suspense or the entertainment of being on the run with Zeke and Molly. Dana Lynn always does a wonderful job of putting you there in the action and bringing the story alive. The characters are real, and decently fleshed out, though I do wish there could’ve been a little more character development. There is a lot of running as Zeke and Molly go back and forth in a game of cat and mouse while they try to stay alive until the police are able to bring the unsubs to justice, and it keeps the story interesting. Faith is addressed in moments throughout the narrative, as both Molly and Zeke have had their individual struggles with faith due to what they’ve had to endure in their past. There is a discussion of not being able to forgive oneself, a topic that is very near and dear to my heart as I have had seasons in my own life of unforgiveness, and this fact tethered me even more to these characters. There is a moment where Molly sincerely prays for the first time in a long time and, “She had emptied her eyes and her heart.” I felt this moment so deep in my gut that it took my breath away, as I too continue in my own walk in the wilderness. A very powerful moment that I haven’t been able to get out of my mind. The quiet yet courageous strength that both Zeke and Molly possess is admirable. I don’t think I would be so calm if I was running from someone who was trying to murder me but they both are focused on protecting those they love, and are keeping as level of a head as they can considering the circumstances. Seeing them stay strong and true to themselves was an inspiration and made this read all the sweeter. I have enjoyed this series so much and Hidden Amish Target is no exception. It’s the perfect page-turner on a hot summer day, and just the escape I was craving. *I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours.
