Editorial Reviews

A New York Times bestselling series!

Praise for Rise of the Earth Dragon (Dragon Masters #1), written by Tracey West:

"In this first of the Dragon Masters series, vocabulary is accessible; sentences, paragraphs, and chapters are short; and dialogue moves the story along rapidly. Black-and-white sketch-type drawings add depth to the story and feelings to the characters (both children and dragons). Emergent readers will find happy success here." -- Booklist

"The first of a new series of early chapter books, this entry is sure to attract fans. Brief chapters, large print, lots of action, attractive illustrations in every spread including a maplike panorama, an enviable protagonist-- who wouldn't want to be a Dragon Master? -- all combine to make an entertaining reader. With plenty left to be resolved, the next entry will be eagerly sought after." -- Kirkus Reviews

These books are amazing. They are easy to read and really fun. I have been reading the whole series to my 6 year old child and they love it so much. I don’t mind reading it either. The stories are really great for all kids. Both boys and girls are depicted as strong and capable.

The dragon masters books are what helped my son transition from picture books to chapter books. We received book 1 as a gift and ended up getting the whole series. We pre-ordered book 20, it arrived last night, and my son woke early this morning asking me to read it to him. We got through the whole book in one sitting! Looking forward to #21!

The title says is all. My son was blessed to be sent this book by the author herself signed to him as a dragon master. He was so excited to open his special package from the author herself!! We have been a fan of the Dragon Master series for about a year now when grandma sent him the first 5 books in the series. We couldn't stop reading them, we were hooked. My kiddo loves that the dragon masters are kids close to his age, and he loves dragons, which makes the books very relatable to him. If you are a fan of the other books in the series you will not be let down!! As always it was very well written, very engaging , the artwork is amazing and keeps us wanting more. The wind dragon and her dragon master Quilla are great additions to the cast of Dragon master characters. You will not be disappointed in this amazing book!!

We have every book in this series so far and have the next ones preordered. We got this one today and my son, who is 8, was finishing it at bedtime. He loves these books and looks forward to the new releases.
