Editorial Reviews

This innovative coloring book puts the science of learning into practice with each inspirational and empowering page. Speaking as a child development specialist, and also a parent, this coloring book offers a much-needed opportunity for children to slow down and engage in imaginative play...one of the best ways for children to discover there is no limit to what they might accomplish. --Amy Pace, Ph.D. & Professor at the University of Washington

Hopscotch Girls is working diligently to empower young girls by using affirmations through coloring. Each page of this book has an affirmation on it accompanied by images that reinforce each statement and are just plain fun for young girls to color. If we can soothe and set the soul on the path to healing with coloring, then we most certainly can inspire our young women to believe in themselves, have a healthy body image, to always believe they can do anything they want when they set their mind to it. --Color On! Wonderful book that came in at a perfect time. Each page has pictures and words to help boost self esteem and my 6 year old granddaughter who is being bullied in kinder has taken to this like a duck to water. Thank you for positive ways to help girls at all ages

I bought this for my seven-year-old daughter as a Christmas gift… I love the positive and inspiring messages and think it would be very cool to have her color the pages and then pick out some picture frames so that we can hang her work in her bedroom! I took a video for this review to show the 22 different coloring pages so that you can see what’s inside. I hope that helps! UPDATE: I love this coloring book so much that I've purchased additional copies to give as birthday gifts for nieces and my daughters' friends. This coloring book promotes such positive and empowering messages and I just can't say enough great things about it!

I bought this book at the suggestion of a friend. At first, I did not know whom I was going to gift it, but now that's here and I've looked at it.... I will give the book to a young girl, but I'll be ordering some more for holiday gifts. Girls need the messages in this book from a young age... this coloring book is a creative way to remind girls of how great they are!

Such a cute book! I'm a dad that loves his little 6 year old girl and wants her to know how amazing she is! She colors this book, we read it together and we color it together. It has great little pictures that are relevant to the sayings on each page. Very positive book, more coloring books should be like this.

Review by Deb Rucinski Size: 8.5 x 11 inches 22 Double-sided illustrations Stapled binding in center Paper back Non-perforated pages Paper weight: 140 gsm offset paper (approx 100 lb weight) Perfect for all ages, but created for girls 3-8 years old. This is a beautiful book full of positive affirmations and whimsical illustrations, designed to build confidence and self-esteem in young girls. It allows them to explore their imagination and encourages conversation with adults. Illustrations are full page and each bordered with a thin, black line. The stapled binding makes the book easier to lie flat, making it more comfortable for both left and right handed users. There is adequate space to allow for easy removal by removing the 2 staples, or using an exacto or pen knife down the center. The illustrations are of varying line sizes. The designs are detailed but not highly intricate, making this not too difficult for those with vision or dexterity issues. While this is heavier paper, images are still double-sided, making it impossible to use markers on this without the picture on the backside being damaged by bleed through. I recommend using colored pencils, pastels, crayons, and watercolor pencils, (if you use the water very sparingly). Test your gel pens first. Some do bleed through, but not most.
