Hooky is a really fun graphic novel that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. The artwork is cute, the story is pretty solid, and the presentation is good. That being said, the lack of a volume number and the description made it sound like this was going to be the whole story. I wasn’t familiar with the webcomic so I had no idea! After doing more research into it, it looks like the comic goes until episode 70 *and* artwork and dialogue is different in the webcomic format. I can see how the artist worked hard on it, so I don’t know how to feel about that. There are 222 episodes available meaning we could easily have 4 volumes, assuming they actually release them Also an important note for parents: the story ends on a scary cliffhanger which is not great for younger kids. I’m honestly surprised they left it there with no resolution… Even after the cute extra comics I don’t feel satisfied after reading it. I do not read webcomics and I wanted a more full experience. I hope they print more volumes down the line.

I absolutly love this series and read it when it came out on Webtoon, but the description made it seem like all of the chapters plus some extra content were included, I was disappointed to find out that wasn’t the case. I would have appreciated if the description included what chapter the book ended at so that the consumer knows beforehand what they’re buying. Either way, I’m definitely purchasing the next volume

I first read this webcomic on webtoon and to this day it is the most well-written and beautifully-illustrated comic I’ve ever read. The characters are all so unique and well-developed, and each has their own journey of growth throughout the series. I still remember when I first saw Miriam’s post on Instagram about this webcomic going to print. I was prepared to pay anything. And then when I hopped over to Amazon and saw that it was only $10.99?? Ive never clicked “buy now” so fast. I preordered it back in March and have been eagerly anticipating it ever since. When it finally came in the mail, it was more beautiful than I imagined. And so thick! This probably contains about 1/3 of the entire series. And the price was so good!! Turning through the pages, I could see the beautiful illustrations and story that I had come to love so much. I am so happy I can forever own this in print!

I have absolutely adored hooky ever since i found its existence a year or so ago on webtoon and started reading it when it was only halfway done and was absolutely stoked when i saw i can help the creator by purchasing my own copy of the book where i both support miriam AND get out of having to deal with the new daily pass bs webtoon likes to do with completed series? Heck yea! The paper back doesnt seem to have the entire series but will definitely purchase the second half if available as well to add to my collection of books <3

Pre-ordered the hardback. Have read the entire novel on Webtoon and was more than happy to buy a physical copy to support the author. It arrived today and is very nice quality! Was saddened that it doesn't have the full story, but will definitely buy the rest of the chapters if they print the rest of it. Just wish that it had been more clear that this was only the beginning of the story and not the full novel.
