Immortal Rising (An Argeneau Novel, 34)

The Argeneaus are back! Filled with love, passion, and adventure, New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands returns with another sexy romance about everyone's favorite immortals.

Stephanie McGill was attacked and turned when she was just a teenager. Worse, her abilities are unlike any other immortal. Now 13 years later, with the help of her adopted Argeneau family, Steph has carved out a new – if not lonely – life for herself. Until a new neighbor arrives…

Thorne is also one-of-a-kind. The result of a genetic experiment, he's not an immortal, but he's not mortal either. He's looking for a place to hide, to get some peace and quiet so he can figure things out, and Stephanie's sanctuary is perfect. In fact, Stephanie is perfect. For the first time, Thorne is free to be himself and he's falling for her.

But if they're going to have a future together, they'll first need to deal with their past…because the mad scientist who created Thorne is now after Stephanie.

Absolutely fantastic read and continue to my favourite book series! Lynsay Sands has the ability to take you into another world, keep you hanging on the edge of your seat, laughing away and flicking through the pages until suddenly you come to the end and instantly want the next book to read! As always I can't wait for the next one in the series and I shall be pre ordering it as soon as it's available.

A wonderful series with heart. Stephanie and Thorne are two different immortals who are very alone and lonely. Both for different reasons but together they become happy. Someone to be with and just talk to. The quite is beautiful when all you hear is noise. Also scary when you’ve never had it since you were taken. Hiding your fear both in different ways as the both feel like monsters. Dressler is a real monster, is after both to do unspeakable things to them. It’s like visiting old friends and family reading 📖 this book. Love that both Stephanie and Thorne found what they need. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve loved every single Argeneau novel written by Ms Sands. Even though the basic premise is Immoral meets Life Mate and they live happily ever after she has managed to make the stories different enough to keep them interesting. She has added a new group to the mix. Thorne has animal DNA and wings. Stephanie was forcibly turned and has no fangs. She must drink blood from a glass and hears the thoughts of everyone in a five and half mile radius. She even hears the thoughts of the ancients. She lives by herself in the country with only her pet dog and cat who she considers her kids. When Thorne comes to stay in the other house on the property while he waits to see if his wings can be removed they meet. Stephanie has a wacky sense of humor and tells Thorne exactly what she thinks of him. That he is super hot. Things beat up from there. As with all these novels there is excitement, danger, and some laugh out loud moments. Yes I actually laughed out loud. I sincerely hope Ms Sands has many more books planned for this series. I will continue to read every one.

I have waited a long time (years) for Stephanie's story. I love the Argeneau Series by Ms. Sand and own very book published. As soon as the book became available on Amazon I rushed to buy it. Unfortunately, it became very apparent after the first chapter, that this book would not measure up to the previous books in this series. Torturously slow and boring are just two of the many synonyms to describe this book I could have used. Monotonous, tedious, and the best SPIRITLESS. I started skipping pages almost immediately which is something completely new in a Lynsay Sands book. The heroine, Stephanie ,was so unlike the young girl we have come to know she was unrecognizable. The hero, Thorne was just dull, wooden and flat with little going for him. The plot was beyond tame and sluggish. Mainly he sat around talking a little with Stephanie who spent more time talking to herself. Thats the whole plot, they meet, greet,, talk about nothing of interest, go home to their prospective homes and start over the next day.. There was a little action toward the ending in the last few chapters but even that was so predictable and anticlimactic. After chasing after the dreaded Dr. Dressler for a third of the full series one would expect a massive show down between Immortals and Rogues but nope, instead we get a couple pages and it was over. I only gave the book three stars, despite it not deserving even two, because of the nostalgia I felt over this long 34 book series. I have truly loved every book in the series. Some more than others but each well worth the price . This book however, was such a sad disappointment that I would never recommend it to any friend ( or foe ) and whole-heartedly wish I could get a refund. Seriously, just a waste of money. Here is hoping the next book is back up to the standards we have come to expect from Ms. Sands because this one is an absolute failure.
