Little Blue Truck Board Book

This is the second original “Little Blue Truck” I have bought first one after reading it nightly for 2 years unfortunately was ruined. My now almost 4 year old grandson, although we have all of the blue books, wanted this one again too. And yes we read it on a regular basis. We love Little Blue, it couldn’t be bedtime with out 2 or 3 of these books. But this is the favorite. Now we have a little brother 2 years old that loves them too. Would gladly recommended! Easy reading, great illustrations, just right for little guys!

This book was recommended to us by one of our NICU RNs. I am so glad I took her recommendation. This is a fun book for kids and adults to read. The words are fun and written to engage the reader and listener. The rhymes are cute and catchy. I find myself reciting it even without the book. Loved it so much that we started to get the other books in the Little Blue Truck series.

This book has it all: rhyming couplets that flow easily off the tongue:, animal and trucks: noises within the text to spice things up; and engaging themes of friendship and helping. I love reading this book to my grandson, and, while he has a lot of board books to choose from and is very opinionated about what he wants read to him, he'll almost always agree to this one. There's a number of books in this series, but I don't know that any of them are as special as this first one.

My 15 month old son’s daycare teacher told me that this was his favorite book, and he often makes a beeline for it as soon as I drop him off. So, I bought a copy to have at home (because who am I to separate a kid from his favorite book!). He brings us this book multiple times a day for us to read to him, and he has added “Beep” to his vocabulary, along with most of the animal sounds. The story is charming and fun to read, the cast of characters, both animal and vehicle, are very appealing, and the pictures are beautifully done and very detailed. We will definitely be buying more from this series! As a bonus, I especially enjoyed the line about the goat jumping over the fence, of course. As the keeper of a small herd of goats, this made me laugh out loud for its accuracy. Well played!

This is the 2nd time we've bought this book.... Our first got destroyed because......kids..... Before they were reading they memorized the entire book.... Super fun to read, great cadence and rhythm... It never gets old and we can read this over and over and over again even in one sitting. We are starting to collect the entire Little Blue Truck series. Also we started giving this book for friends and family as a baby shower gift or little's birthdays... for both boys and girls. Can't say enough good things about his book. Get it. :)
