Maggie Moves On
Can these opposites turn up the heat… without burning down the house?
House-flipping sensation and YouTube star Maggie Nichols can't wait to dig into her next challenge. Arriving in tiny Kinship, Idaho, with only a cot and a coffeemaker, Maggie is prepared to restore a crumbling Victorian mansion in four months or less. She has her to-do lists, her blueprints, and her team. What she doesn't have is time for sexy, laid-back landscaper Silas Wright.
The man takes flirtation to a whole new level. And he does it shirtless…sometimes pants-less. He and his service school-dropout dog are impressively persistent. But she's not interested in putting down roots. Not when fans tune in to watch her travel the country turning dilapidated houses into dream homes. A short-term fling on the other hand could fit nicely into her calendar. After all, Maggie remembers what fun is like. Vaguely.
As their summer gets downright steamy, Silas manages to demolish the emotional walls she's spent years building, sending Maggie into a panic. He's the wrench in her carefully constructed plans. With the end of the project looming, she has a decision to make. But how can she stay when her entire career is built on moving on?

Lucy Score totally nailed this one. I like renovation shows so take that storyline add in romance and fun quirky characters and I’m sold. The banter between Silas and his family was hilarious. I love that Maggie was confident and that Silas just accepted her as she was. The little bit of mystery was a fun twist too. Another awesome read from Lucy Freaking Score!

“It doesn’t matter how much you have, if it’s not what you want. You can’t just decide to be happy with less than.” This fixer upper meets yard crashers romance had me laughing and smiling and even snuck a few tears out of me! Maggie and her business partner Dean run a successful YouTube home renovation show, always chasing that next home disaster to transform. So when her next flip takes her to the quirky town of Kinship Idaho, the last things she expects is a sexy landscaper to literally mow the pants off of her! Silas had me smitten from the start, a man with quick wit and funny one liners will get me every time! I would definitely be tuning in weekly for more Maggie and Silas. #HotLandscaperGuy “It’s a kiss, Maggie. Not a commitment. One kiss won’t cost you a lifetime,” I couldn’t help but laugh at Silas’ flirtatious negotiating, he set his sights on Maggie and just knew that she was it for him. His dog Kevin was absolutely hilarious and his antics kept me laughing, bacon anyone?Every side character brought something to the story and I loved the found family that was created because of renovating the house. Maggie was constantly on the move, avoiding any long term commitments that could break her heart but Silas would have none of it and he used all the town magic to show Maggie that Kinship was a perfect place to stay! He was definitely the “Wright” guy for Maggie in and out of the bedroom if you catch my drift. There is a certain water scene that was scorching! The addition of town mystery surrounding the house and the stolen gold added a fun sense of adventure to the storyline, a little national treasure feel to it! Overall absolutely loved it!

I would like to praise Lucy Score who just keeps getting better and better at writing stories that captures your heart. ❤ This time we find ourselves in the town of Kinship. Our heroine is a real live YouTube videographer, Maggie Nicole's, who purchases homes, renovates them and then flips them. She does a lot of the work herself and films it from start to finish. This time it's a home from her childhood memory from when she visited this town with her mother at the age of twelve. Our hero is Silas Wright, aka hot landscaper guy, and from the moment he meets Maggie, he knows he wants to marry her and he's not shy about letting everyone know. Maggie doesn't do relationships and she likes keeping on the move and thanks to her childhood baggage she would like to keep it that way. Silas has his work cut out for him if he's going to win her over. The characters are well developed and scenes well thought out. Adding in the fact that people keep moving into the house with her, including a massive pitbull and two kittens, several humans and the mystery of a hidden treasure, means you're in store for a story with a lot of laughs, gasps and a truly wonderful happy ever after for everyone. 🥰

Simply incredible. Maggie Moves On is a new favorite! 6 stars! The characters, the attention to detail, the build, the house, and even the dog. There were so many amazing moments filled with so much feeling. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and completely fell in love with Maggie and Silas. This story was perfection. Maggie and Silas were truly the best. I instantly loved Silas and his flirty ways, he was so charming and sweet right from the start. This man made me melt! I loved Maggie and her in charge attitude and all she’d accomplished and overcome. I understood what she wanted and the conflict it created since Silas was in hot pursuit. They had undeniable chemistry with a playful banter that was sexy and fun. There was an excellent balance between the humor and heat (oh my with the heat!!!). I loved them opening up, learning their history, and being vulnerable. There were so many wonderful scenes between these two that had me laughing and others that were full of so much emotion. It was a very well-rounded story from beginning to end. I think I loved the secondary characters just as much as I loved Maggie and Silas. I wish I could mention every one of them and just how important and meaningful they were. I loved how their stories and history mixed in with the overall storyline and the wit and cleverness they brought. I loved the family Silas and Maggie formed with them, the friends they find and bring into the fold, right down to the animals, it was everything. I really enjoyed Silas’s family as well and all the different dynamics that were taking place. There were so many moments that filled me up and made my heart happy. Besides the romance, there's a beautiful story about the house itself and the original owners that added a layer of mystery to it all. I loved all the hints and clues and the dots connecting along the way, giving the story an extra special layer that made it even more fulfilling. I make no secret of the fact that Lucy Score is one of my favorite authors. I feel like she weaves magic into her stories, bringing them to life, making my world just a little brighter. That 100% happened with this book. It was an incredibly well-developed and detailed story with a phenomenal build and I had a really hard time putting my Kindle down and getting anything done. I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next. Maggie Moves On was extremely entertaining with laugh-out-loud moments but it was also filled with so much emotion and heart and healing… plus a touch of adventure! Fantastic read! 6 stars!
