Magnolia Table, Volume 3: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering

Joanna Gaines-cofounder of Magnolia, cook and host of Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines, and New York Times bestselling author-brings us her third cookbook filled with timeless and nostalgic recipes-now reimagined-for today's home cook.

Whether it's in the making, the gathering, or the tasting of something truly delicious, this collection of recipes from Magnolia Table, Volume 3 is an invitation to savor every moment. In Joanna's first cookbook, the #1 New York Times bestselling Magnolia Table, she introduced readers to her favorite passed-down family recipes. For her second cookbook, Magnolia Table, Volume 2, she pushed herself beyond her comfort zone to develop new recipes for her family. In this, her third cookbook, Joanna shares the recipes-old and new-that she's enjoyed the most over the years. The result is a cookbook filled with recipes that are timeless, creative, and delicious! Just as in her past books, within each recipe Joanna speaks to the reader, explaining why she likes a recipe, what inspired her to create it in the first place, and how she prefers to serve it. The book is beautifully photographed and filled with dishes you will want to bring into your own home, including:

Honey Butter Layered Biscuit Bites Bananas Foster Pancakes Brussels Sprout Gruyére Gratin White Chicken Alfredo Lasagna Garlic Shrimp over Parmesan Risotto Peanut Butter Pie Brownie Cookies

I’m so excited to start cooking from Joanna’s third beautiful book. The first two I’ve enjoyed so much. The recipes are fantastic. I wish I could pick a favorite, but I can’t! In the next two years when I’m through testing these, I hope there will be a number 4 book to order. I have collected many beautiful cookbooks over the years, but none compare to these. Maybe because they are recipes that are truly satisfying! And as a side note, I am really enjoying the cooking show too!

I actually bought this as a gift for my Nana who is a huge fan of Joanna Gaines, especially her cooking show. Well it arrived and I of course had to flip through it myself to see if I can find something to convince my grandma to make for me after I give it to her. Only grandkid perk. But oh my goodness, there are so many things that I want to try I'm going to have to buy this book for myself and get to cooking! I may be biased but I think this is Joanna's best cookbook yet and I'm not saying that just because it's my favorite color. The recipes speak for themselves! I can't wait to start cooking some of these up with my Nana!

You know how you buy a cookbook, and you only end up liking 40% of the recipes, and only 10% of them have ingredients that your local grocery store carries? This is NOT that. I want to make 98% of everything in this book, and 85% can be made with ingredients my local grocery store carries--- but even then, that is likely regional, and I can still find those other ingredients online or in specialty shops. Joanna's recipes from her first two books have become regular dishes in our home, and I can guarantee you that list will be expanding with this book. I love these. I'll order volume 4 if she makes it.

Another great book from Joanna Gaines as all her publications have been. Unfortunately, it arrived with all 4 corners of the book banged up and bent over due to poor packaging or maybe I should say no packaging. It arrived in a much larger box with no protective packaging inside whatsoever, just left in the box to bounce around in the truck. As it was a $28 nice hard bound book, it was a shame I had to give it too my wife as a gift with all the corners bent over and smashed. Hopefully they’ll learn from my review that they need to protect hard bound books as not to damage them in shipment.

I loved Joanna’s first cookbook so much! I literally made almost every single recipe and it still sits on my counter with my favorite recipes marked and I remake them regularly. I wasn’t super thrilled with her second book- it made it to my cookbook shelf rather quickly and hasn’t been pulled out again. This third cookbook is going to be like her first one- I will make almost every single recipe! I can’t wait to cook my way through the whole book. It will stay a countertop book for easy access. I can’t wait to make these dishes for my family. I already know her recipes are easy to follow, relatively simple ingredients that are found in most kitchens, and have enough detail that a novice in the kitchen or someone skilled can/will enjoy making these dishes! If you enjoyed her first cookbook- buying this one is an easy decision! Enjoy!
