Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go!

An introduction to the world of Dr. Seuss-for babies and babies-to-be!

Artfully adapted almost entirely from Ted Geisel's work, this introduction to the world of Dr. Seuss is a must for expectant parents and new babies! In simple rhymed verse, author Tish Rabe extolls the joys awaiting newborns when they meet the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Yertle the Turtle, the Great Birthday Bird, the Grinch, and twenty-five other beloved Seuss characters. Written to be read aloud to babies and babies-to-be (yes, babies in utero!), the book includes a brief introduction by Mrs. Dr. Seuss-Audrey Geisel-revealing how she and Ted were fascinated by the idea that babies could hear sounds while still in the womb-and might actually respond to the voices of their parents. A perfect gift for baby showers and newborns, Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go! is the ideal way to nurture a love of reading and Dr. Seuss in the very youngest children!

This is specially-focused version of the timeless classic. I bought this specifically for my new grandchild and read it aloud the first time while the baby was still in the womb. Will re-read each time I visit. The "regular" version of this book is one of the top 5 recommended books for adults, too! You can't go wrong...at any age!

Personally, I was never a fan of the famous Dr. Seuss series of books; however, I recently ordered this small volume (Oh. Baby, the places you’ll go by Dr. Seuss, adapted by Tish Rabe) on Amazon. I read the small size booklet cover to cover in a very short time and found it to be delightful. This book consists of various quotes to be used by women who are pregnant with the purpose of speaking to the baby in the womb. If you are into Dr. Seuss material you may want to check out this booklet. Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Season of the warrior: A poetic tribute to warriors).

I first found this book when I was pregnant. My husband was working in a different state during the last 2 months of my pregnancy. So I purchased this book and made a recording of my husband reading it. Then I played that recording for my belly every night, so my little one would recognize his Daddy's voice when he was born. It was so special for us that now, everytime someone I love gets pregnant, I send them this book and tell them how we used it. Every person, the mom's AND dad's to be, get teary eyed when they receive it. It's a wonderful way to begin reading to your child!

I love this book so much, when I was pregnant with my last couple of babies my husband at the time would read this book to my belly to our baby in my belly LOL and now my daughter is pregnant and I'm going to use this book at her baby shower as the guest book for her guests to sign and put their best wishes for my grandbaby!

The book is cute but the quality is super cheap. The pages are super thin and even the hard back is less sturdy than the more quality copies of this book. I’ve looked at this book in stores and just put off buying it. When I found it online for a bit cheaper I thought oh awesome might as well bite the bullet and buy it. Honestly if I’d known it would be such flimsy quality I would have bought it in store for an extra buck or 2 and it would probably hold up longer in the hands of a curious baby.
