Operation Joktan (A Nir Tavor Mossad Thriller)

"It was the perfect day-until the gunfire."

Nir Tavor is an Israeli secret service operative turned talented Mossad agent.

Nicole le Roux is a model with a hidden skill.

A terrorist attack brings them together, and then work forces them apart-until they're unexpectedly called back into each other's lives.

But there's no time for romance. As violent radicals threaten chaos across the Middle East, the two must work together to stop these extremists, pooling Nicole's knack for technology and Nir's adeptness with on-the-ground missions. Each heart-racing step of their operation gets them closer to the truth-and closer to danger.

In this thrilling first book in a new series, authors Amir Tsarfati and Steve Yohn draw on true events as well as tactical insights Amir learned from his time in the Israeli Defense Forces. For believers in God's life-changing promises, Operation Joktan is a suspense-filled page-turner that illuminates the blessing Israel is to the world.

This book is about heroes who are willing to do anything to protect innocent people. I know in real life, the Mossad has done incredible things and saved many lives. They have stopped many attacks against the tiny nation of Israel. This book is packed full of people highly skilled in their work, including battle action, satellite investigation, and hacking. It also contains many heroic deeds of protection of the innocent. There is romance, deep character development, and funny banter between the characters. A book that both men and women will enjoy. This is a book by Christian authors, one of whom I have followed for several years, Amir Tsarfati. He is a Christian Israeli Jew who has served in the Israeli military, so I believe the story must be very realistic, though I am not an expert in such things. As Christians, they certainly have included a Christian character who is quite bold in sharing her faith. But the book will certainly entertain anyone of any religious belief. Also as I would expect from Christian authors, there are no sex scenes, though there is some kissing. And given the nature of the book, there is violence. In fact I would rate it at least PG, maybe PG 13. But it is the good versus evil type of violence where the good is endorsed and the evil is looked down upon. As many others have said, it is hard to put down. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

Once I started reading I was hooked. Action in every chapter, intrigue woven throughout, a little romance threading its way as well. Clarity in the message subtly sprinkled in the story. Read in one day. I’m ready for the next one!
