Out On a Limb

Winnifred "Win" McNulty has always been wildly independent. Not one to be coddled for her limb difference, Win has spent most of her life trying to prove that she can do it all on her own. And, with some minor adjustments, she's done just fine.

That is until she has a one-night stand with the incredibly charming Bo, a perfect stranger. And that one night changes everything.

While Bo is surprisingly elated to step upto the plate, Win finds herself unsure of whether she can handle this new challenge on her own or if she'll need a helping hand.

Together, Win and Bo decide to get to know one another as friends and nothing more. But, as they both should know by now, life rarely goes according to plan.

out on a limb is easily one of my top 5 reads of 2023 so far. hannah writes the most beautiful people with love stories that feel so real and raw and yet so perfect. the kind of stories that stick with you for years. win & bo’s story had me hooked from the very first meet cute (dare i say the best meet cute i’ve ever read???). it sets the tone for the book and for their relationship in the best way possible. bo is charming and endearing with a vulnerable side that just makes you wanna put him in your pocket and make sure no one ever hurts him. win is everything i want in a main character, she’s witty and thoughtful and just trying to figure life out. they’re the perfect pair and i know i’ll reach for this book for years to come. also they are really really really hot.

Y'all this book is a top contender for my favorite book of 2023. I mean with my memory I might forget it (I literally went to type this up when I had to go back and look up Win's name! And I did the same for my last review, forgot the MMCs name!) But gosh I hope not. It was a lovely book. I know surprise pregnancy books aren't everyone's cup of tea but this book really was more than that. There was the relationship that grew between the two of them and the growth Win experiences when you get someone else in your life who believes in you. Bo was a cinnamon roll. Too bad men like him aren't real. Win was wary with her heart and it was really understandable where she came from. She was great too. I loved the side characters, the friendships. It was such a beautiful book.

It is always a great sign when a book makes you laugh out loud from the very first page. But, then again, who needs signs with a book by Hannah Bonam-Young - it is guaranteed to be good, every single time, and I think Out on a Limb is my new favorite! 💖 Both Win and Bo were sweet and adorable, their story had me laughing, giggling and guffawing out loud, and it also got me all teared up and pulled at all of my heartstrings. Life has thrown some serious setbacks at both Win and Bo in the past and after one special Halloween night they have another big surprise coming their way. By anyone else this storyline might not work at all but the way Hannah Bonam-Young writes is so beautiful and effortless and joyful and emotional that I felt like I was flying through the pages and couldn't get enough. Happy release day Hannah, Win and Bo! ❤

Can I give a book a zillion stars? Because this book deserves them. It was everything I'd hoped for and more. I absolutely adored it. I loved Bo and Win's Halloween party meet cute - the immediate spark between them jumped off the page. Their banter alone was just everything but add in that steamy scene and oof, it was absolute perfection. I found myself completely charmed by these two. Win's reaction to her accidental pregnancy felt so real and raw; the way I felt myself connecting to her in that moment, I don't know, I can't explain it. And then there was Bo's reaction - the way this man was so completely onboard immediately *cue the heart eyes* He was such a caretaker at heart and nothing will make me swoon more. Except for maybe the gift he made for Win *sigh* Watching Win and Bo fall in love made me smile so hard. I seriously adore everything about them. And the epilogue? It broke me; I cried so many tears of joy.

After the particularly dark, incredibly hot and interesting book I read right before this one, it was so refreshing to read such a wholesome story. I was enraptured since I read the note at the beginning of the book and was not disappointed. Bo is probably the sweetest, incredible MC I read this year. Win is also the strongest, funniest one. They are so freaking cute together and I loved how the storyline developed and how they fell in love. I also loved reading about two disabled characters who had insecurities but never, ever let them determine their life or how their future was going to play out. They were very normal people who lived very normal lives and did not feel sorry for themselves like we see so commonly in other books. Their disabilities were a huge part of who they were, but not a huge part of the plotline. Their disabilities were shown in a very common basis because we saw two characters who did not define themselves by them. They just lived and loved. Someway along the 55% I was afraid I would not like the story as much because it was kind of a slow burn after such an intense start, but after they got together everything was smooth and I was won with the epilogue because it was the absolutely most adorable scene from all the book. So that's why it was not a full 5 star read for me, but I still adored the story. Truly cannot recommend it enough!
