Solitaire
The amazing novel that introduced Nick and Charlie from HEARTSTOPPER -- and the unforgettable Tori Spring.
Tori Spring isn't sure how to be happy again. Then she meets Michael Holden, and they try to unmask the mysterious Solitaire (and survive high school) in Alice Oseman's stunning, unflinchinghonest debut novel, which first introduced her fan-favorite Heartstopper characters Nick and Charlie.

When i opened the book, the spine on the top was ripping, and on the cover there was bending.

Many people argue about their opinions of this book. Some say it’s “too depressing” and tell how teen life isn’t like that. I’d like to argue that this book portrayed it almost perfectly. Victoria’s character was scarily accurate to how I felt throughout school. They way she explains and self-deprecates might seem excessive, but it’s very comforting to know that I wasn’t the only person feeling like this. Oseman is a genius writer and I will forever gawk over her work. As for its relation to the “Heartstopper” series, many say it portrayed Charlie weirdly. I simply love that we get to see a more serious side of his ED. Yes, “Heartstopper” is an amazing story and the relationships are lovely, but I don’t think this story undermines it like some say. This book as phenomenal. I love Oseman’s work.

I loved this book. It's very well written. I found absolutely no dull parts to this story and wish there were break off stories of each of the characters that were built up. Excellent read.
