This book is fast paced, and easy to read. The characters are predictable, but still interesting. It was fun to read a story about football, even though I’m not a huge football fan. The ending was a big disappointment, it wasn’t a bad ending it just fell flat and was confusing. Important characters were introduced in the last few chapters, these characters should have been included at the beginning.

I read the book because I enjoy Lupica and NFL football. Patterson always has some good characters and plots. The fictitious Patriots owner looked like the real guy. Would have preferred a better ending, but overall entertaining read! .

This is my 1st James Patterson book and my 1st fiction book as well. An interesting, well written murder/mystery that has made me think of what I've been missing all these years. I'm a non-fiction reader by choice and concentrate on obits and bio's, political science and history. Well that's changing now that I have been introduced to Mr. Patterson. Fun and page turner books may be more important. I'm currently looking through Mr. Patterson's inventory looking for my next mystery/murder page turner. I highly recommend this book. Football!

The story begins with the murder of a very powerful man who has a misfit family. The male children think that they will inherit it all but their sister is the one who gets the sports team and the newspaper. As things go along, Jenny Wolf is thwarted at every turn but she never gives up. As others begin to betray her and some bodies begin to pile up, the question is “who,” not “why.” Gripping from the beginning, I wished that there were 300 more pages!

I am not a big Pro football fan but I liked this book. I admire smart and strong women and dislike men who are bullys so this was a good read for me.
