Editorial Reviews
"The personalities of animals who're ready for hibernation are captured in the bemused details of this fun seasonal story, from a tiny bird's decorated house to Squirrel's own warm, happy home." - Foreword
"Squirrel's wildly dramatic, misguided, and hyperpossessive reaction to a routine seasonal event becomes a rib-tickling farce through clever use of varying type sizes and weights emphasizing his absurd verbal pronouncements as well as exaggerated, comic facial expressions and body language." - Kirkus Reviews
"This is such a silly story of how one little squirrel misunderstands the concept of leaves falling off the trees in the autumn months... The colors are bright and little details add a touch of humor[.]" - Youth Services Book Review, STARRED review

The book is in perfect condition. My grandchild's school's book fair listed this book but it was not available. Beautiful graphics and story.

I love this book for my preschoolers. They loved the quirky squirrel and the story behind why leaves fall in the Autumn. Great book to add to any Autumn collection for any age really.

My Grandson is four and in preschool. He took this book to school and everyone loved it. The teachers and the children. It is beautifully illustrated. The book is large so perfect for story time. The lesson taught is really cute and understandable. I recommend.

1. The cover is beautiful. The title and some leaves are printed with foil material so they glow at different angles. It’s subtle but perfect in the ratio compared to the regular print. 2. Pages are thicker than a lot of books so it looks and feels nice. 3. It’s not too long where your toddler loses interest. (It would be hard to anyway) 4. There are multiple characters throughout it so you can choose to change your voice/emotions/pitch when reading what each animal says keeping your child laughing. 5. You can interact with your child on what is happening on practically every page in a fun way. 6. Your child is learning about Autumn in a way where you’re not forcing. They will ask questions out of curiosity on some pages. 7. At the end of the book are facts (very aesthetically pleasing) to tech your kid about things that happen during Autumn. 8. It’s funny. 9. The writing and artwork go so well together. 10. These characters you can love and look forward to seeing them in other books. Before adding this review I already searched for more books. The second one, “Don’t Touch That Flower!” Has a release date of April 2023.
