Happy New Almanac Year! It's time to celebrate the 230th edition of The Old Farmer's Almanac! Witty. Wise. All around guidance on everything that matters.

There are a couple different Farmer's Almanacs. I like the "Old" one. It's fun to read, sometimes witty, often goofy. Good for laughs more than taking seriously.

Love this almanac. My parents planted their garden by this book. My husband will use it as a guide as to when to go fishing.

You needn't be a farmer or even a gardener to enjoy reading this. There are sections & articles of interest to many people. This 2022 issue includes an article giving facts & folklore on teeth... a relative who worked with a dentist says some myths are still believed by their patients! One burning question: where'd the hanging-hole go?

This is my favorite of the similar almanacs, and it is ALWAYS worth getting. The weather predictions are not always 100% correct, but I don't think you can expect them to be, and they are usually ballpark. The astronomical calendar is wonderful if you are interested in events like eclipses and meteor showers or what the moon is called in a particular month. The gardening information and tips are super, and there are other articles that are worth reading. I get it every year.
