The Perfect Christmas
What would make your Christmas perfect?
For Cassie Beaumont, it's meeting her perfect match. Cassie, at thirty-three, wants a husband and kids, and so far nothing's worked. Not blind dates, not the internet and certainly not leaving love to chance.
So she hires professional matchmaker Simon Dodson. He's very expensive and very choosy about the clients he takes on, but he's got a great reputation. Cassie's astonished when he agrees to work with her.
Simon assigns her three tasks to complete before she meets her perfect mate: being a charity bell ringer, dressing up as Santa's elf at a mall and preparing a traditional turkey dinner for her neighbors (most of whom she happens to dislike). Despite a number of mishaps, Cassie does it all-and she's finally ready to meet her match.
And he turns out to be a wonderful surprise, just like the perfect Christmas gift! "A sweet holiday treat from Macomber has become an annual staple for many readers, and this one doesn't disappoint." -RT Book Reviews

A good book, but it did not capture my imagination like the rest of her books. I did not realize that the book was in large print. It arrived in the condition stated and would recommend the seller.

Read/Listened for Fun (Kindle/Audible) (Knocked off my 2009 TBR List) (Quick Holiday Review) Overall Rating: 3.50 Story Rating: 3.50 Character Rating: 3.50 Audio Rating: 4.00 (not part of the overall rating) First Thought when Finished: The Perfect Christmas by Debbie Macomber was a quick, sweet, and fun Christmas read. Story Thoughts: The Perfect Christmas was a sweet Christmas romance! The story was short and sweet but made for a great afternoon read with a hot cup of tea. I love matchmaker storylines so that made me smile. My only complaint was the end was much to quick for me. However, the rest of the story was delightful and fun! Perfect for the season. Audio Thoughts: Narrated by Tavia Gilbert / LENGTH 4 hrs and 13 mins Tavia is one of my favorite narrators and she did an excellent job with The Perfect Christmas. Her pacing, emotion, and delivery were spot on and I think did the characters justice. Final Thoughts: The Perfect Christmas made for a great holiday read.

I enjoyed this book so much! Debbie Macomber is a pro at bringing characters to life and producing situations that make us laugh and cry at the same time. "The Perfect Christmas" presents two stories in one book. The first story is named like the book. Cassie Beaumont feels that she's destined for spinsterhood. By recommendation of her best friend who is also her work companion, she visits a male matchmaker who has the prerogative of deciding if he will take her on as a client or not! What follows would honestly make an amusing holiday movie that I would watch. At the end there are some free Christmas recipes included. I had been hoping that the recipes would be for the dishes that Cassie cooked for a Christmas dinner but those are probably available in the holiday recipe book by the author which is also advertised at the end. "Can This Be Christmas" is an absolutely beautiful drama that embodies what the Christmas spirit should be. I recommend this book to everyone who … just to everyone!
