Editorial Reviews
This entertaining series centers a lovable, empowered female character; this is a princess who can save herself and still be frilly. . . . A wonderful addition to Hale's unique series, wherein zany humor and teamwork tells the story that children can be anything they dream of.

Very disappointed, first book in the series that underwhelms- storyline lacks consistency and much of a plot and shorter than the others, less context for my kids to read, was not worth the wait

Arrived today and my daughter loves it. The Princess in Black is a favorite in our household. They are quick reads for advanced readers, but comical and not scary.

My child was over the moon to see the prince dressed up in their favorite color, and the story delighted them as usual. This series is a gift and we anxiously await the next installment!

She read one page over and over, laughing each time and shared it with everyone. It’s such a great level for building confidence with reading chapter books.
