The Vampire Chronicles: Interview with a Vampire, Vampire Lestat and the Queen of the Damned (Leatherbound Classics)
In 1976, nearly 80 years after Bram Stoker published Dracula, Anne Rice's bestselling first novel, Interview with the Vampire, breathed new life into the vampire myth. Now, in one chilling volume, here are the first three classic novels of The Vampire Chronicles; Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, and Queen of the Damned. All amazing stories in themselves, together this huge volume presents a classic work bound together into one attractively designed edition.

I read the first three books of The Vampire Chronicles while in high school in the 90s. The beautiful melancholy of Interview with the Vampire, the corruptible innocence of The Vampire Lestat, and the wild and disjointed ride of The Queen of the Damned are the same 25 years later. I could hardly put them down. I hope that in another 25 years, I decide to pick them up once more to feel the fleeting immortality I felt as a 17 year old girl.

I am on my second read of this series. the first was in my early teens and I'd say at almost 42 it's even better with my life experiences. She's a master at delivering the story and it's characters directly into your minds eye. Love love love that brat prince and all the characters.

I LOVE anything vampires, but that mostly is because of Anne Rice and Stephen King. Anne Rice has written 18 or 19 books (fiction of course) and I think they are amazing!! I believe that I have read Interview with a Vampire so many times that I haven't been able to count them. Anne Rice loves her vampire Lestat. I am not of the same opinion but he's Vampire enough for me to keep going!! What a SUCKER!!! LOL. I read with a bowl of popcorn and ice water. My dog by my side and our other two with my beloved hubby while he is reading about the Navy. Safe at home!! Enjoy a VERY GOOD read. Read this book. If you love vampires, you'll fall more in love. I am curious which one you'll love more Lesat, or Louie. Pretty sure I spelt that wrong. Popcorn stuck in my teeth.
