The Wedding Planner: A Novel
In this captivating novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Danielle Steel, a wildly successful, unmarried wedding planner leads her clients to happily ever after.
Faith Ferguson is New York's most in-demand wedding planner, an arbiter of taste for elegant affairs, lavish ceremonies, and exclusive fêtes. She appreciates a simple celebration as much as a dazzling event, for she knows that a dream wedding is not necessarily the most expensive one.
As much as Faith enjoys her work, her two failed engagements leave her with no desire to get married herself. She finds fulfillment in her close relationship with her twin sister, Hope, her role as a mentor for her assistant, Violet, and her career.
This year, new clients have flocked to her, and she signs up an extravagant reception, a mid-sized gathering, and an intimate soirée, in addition to her mother's next marriage and Violet's modest ceremony. Faith finds herself forming bonds with her new clients and their loved ones-most notably the handsome brother of one of her grooms.
But weddings are not always all champagne and roses, and in no time, Faith is grappling with private quarrels, unplanned pregnancies, family scandals, dark secrets, and the possibility of cancelled ceremonies. Through her own journey, Faith will prove once and for all that there is not just one path to happily ever after.
In The Wedding Planner, Danielle Steel presents an enchanting story about the winding road to love and the many ways to find joy while staying true to oneself.

This is a Women's Fiction. I found this book not to have the hard hitting emotional impact that other Danielle Steel's books have and that is what I want and really enjoy about her books. I liked this book, but I did not love it. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Wedding planner is a glamorous career, full of parties, loving couples, flowers and delicious food. That may be true but Faith Ferguson knows what the job is really like - long hours, stressed out brides, budgets, last minute changes, cancellations and more. She has three major weddings booked for the summer, plus several smaller ones, including her own mother’s. There’s a Long Island wedding that will cost millions, paid by nouveau riche parents for their unhappy daughter. A successful but controlling plastic surgeon is marrying his surgical nurse and a gay couple are planning a wedding in the middle of an adoption. It’s a Danielle Steel romance so everything (with a few surprises) will work out perfectly, of course. The Wedding Planner is a quick read, full of glamour, love and family, just what you expect from Danielle Steel. It takes you into a different world, a world where problems are resolved and love triumphs. Don’t we all want that? 5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and Danielle Steel for this ARC.

This book was sent to me electronically for review by Netgalley. Thanks to the publisher and the author. A popular author, she has written a family oriented book that is realistic in some ways, and in other ways, maybe not so much. The wealth and the riches are not ordinary. The characters are likable, and they have so many experiences. Divorce, love and marriage, children. The relationship with the twin sisters is the basis of this story. Their mother is different but ends up happy. Their father is another story. The main character, the wedding planner, meets and comes to like the people for whom she plans the weddings. Enjoy.

Faith's an ace wedding planner who hasn't made it to the altar herself- making this mostly a tale of the weddings she arranges. There are three clients, each with a problem that Faith helps to solve- these are pretty privileged people but that doesn't mean there isn't darkness. And babies! Faith's also got a twin sister, Hope who is married with children and an assistant, Violet, who is critical to making everything work. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. This is a fluffy and entertaining novel that's a little different from the usual Steel but it's also one that will be a good beach read.
