Board books are best for little ones. This book is part of a fabulous series. My grandchildren LOVE them.

I preordered this book for my 2.5yo who loves Little Blue Truck and school busses. He likes this one too, but I’m not impressed. It doesn’t have the same charm as the original, and I don’t like that they emphasize how it “wasn’t hard” instead of how you can persevere through difficulty. Also there’s a random owl awake during the day.

A good addition to the little blue truck line. However, I'm disappointed it was not a board book and that was not clear on preorder. I planned on using it to help my oldest transition to starting Pre-K next year and I'm not sure they're ready for real books.
I’m really glad I ordered this book despite some of the negative reviews. My 19 month olds is obsessed with school buses at the moment so I figured at least the pictures would be fun but the story is good too. A lot of other reviews talk about it being creepy that Little Blue gives the pig a ride to school but if your child is familiar with LBT, it’s very clear he knows pig and the story is not nearly as problematic as some make it out to be.
