Three-time Eisner Award winner Junji Ito invites you to the horrific Tomb Town and beyond.
Countless tombstones stand in rows throughout a small community, forming a bizarre tableau. What fate awaits a brother and sister after a traffic accident in this town of the dead? In another tale, a girl falls silent, her tongue transformed into a slug. Can a friend save her? Then, when a young man moves to a new town, he finds the house next door has only a single window. What does his grotesque neighbor want, calling out to him every evening from that lone window?
Fresh nightmares brought to you by horror master Junji Ito.

another few months wait and another ito book is released! this one is a better place to start for someone just finding the man. i say so because us long-timers have read all these stories before in scanlation form. "slug girl" is LONG overdue. its great having these in hardback "library" editions, but i'd like to see newer stories mixed in with the old. why? because no attempt has been made at a bibliography or catalogue raisonne; Viz doesn't even bother listing original publishing dates (all but one or twoof these are from the late 80s or 90s so maybe they're embarrassed). the next book looks like all souichi so why not have an "all lovecraft" or "all psychogeography" theme for a book? there are a few classic stories Viz has yet to publish but personal favorites are likely to be spread between multiple books from now on. no complaints! i'm glad to have these updated versions, but kinda cringe to think about what they're selling as "new".

More stories from Junji Ito! Some such as “Slug Girl” appear in other volumes but this is still worth the buy. Can’t wait for the next release!

I have been meaning to read Junji Ito but this is my first time, and I’m glad that I did! I don’t how he does it but his stories are so creepy. I enjoy the unique drawing style but most of all the eerie story telling!

Another great addition to my collection. I own every one of his english translated books (minus No Longer Human) and this is another winner in my book. Personally I feel that short stories is where his strength lies... Spiral is a classic as well as Tomie. Gyo was entertaining but not up there. If you're a fan of Ito, of course buy this... if you're new to him this isn't a bad place to dip your toes into the murky and the grotesque puddle that is Junji Ito.
