Tracking a Killer by Elizabeth Goddard is the sixth book in the Love Inspired Suspense Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit series. Harlow and her cadaver dog Nell are called in to help an FBI join task force with a missing person case. Women with blonde hair and blue eyes are going missing in the Rocky Mountain parks and one of the women has turned up dead. Fearing a serial killer situation, they want to find the most recent victim before it’s too late. Two things complicate this search: first is that Harlow and the Task Force leader, FBI Agent Wes Grey, have an explosive past, and two, Harlow matches the description of every victim of taken so far. This combination, not to mention the twists and turns of the case itself, adds drama and suspense so that I didn’t want to put the book down. I also love K-9s and Nell is a wonderful part of the story. If you haven’t read the rest of the series, this book can stand alone. However, it is part of an over-arching story line so that if the series is read all together, it would add depth, particularly with Harlow and Nell since we’d have seen them in other situations. Nevertheless, if you enjoy suspense with a mix of enemies-to-lovers romance, plus an adorable, sweet-natured K-9 working dog, then I recommend grabbing a copy of Tracking a Killer. — I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. Tracking a killer by Elizabeth Goddard is book #6 in the Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit. Although I have read a lot of her books, I have never read The Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit series, but I’ll be reading the first books soon. I really enjoyed getting know Wes, Harlow, and Nell. Harlow Zane is a k-9 handler with her k-9 cadaver dog Nell. She’s called to Yellowstone National Park to help with an investigation looking for a serial killer. She never expected to find FBI Special Agent Wes Grey leading the team. Wes Grey and Harlow were FBI academy rivals & former sweethearts. Unfortunately for Harlow, she has other problems besides working with her former beau. Blonde hair and blue eyes are what the serial killer is looking & she fits the bill to a t. After numerous attempts to capture her, Wes and Harlow must find a way to catch the killer before she ends up in the grave. I really liked their story. I had never read a story about k-9 cadaver dogs that were beagles. It was an interesting twist. I love stories about dogs & Nell captured my heart. There as a lot of action and suspenseful moments. You won’t want to put the book down. I loved the ending despite no epilogue. I’m not sure you could write an epilogue with the series going on for another 2 books. I hope in the next few books, we get to find out what happens to Harlow, Wes, and Nell. I cried at the end. It has the sweetest ending. I loved this quote near the end of the book. Wes tells Harlow, “I hope you know that I’m not that foolhardy stubborn man anymore.” And Harlow responds, “Even if you are, I don’t care.” It summed up the whole book and how God loves all of us. I really enjoyed this book & I think you will too. I was given a copy by the author, but all opinions are my very own!

This is a really good series. Characters are great, stories are suspenseful and engaging, dogs are awesome. The end of this story was the best part.

Someone tries to abduct her while she is fixing a flat tire en route to the crime scene. FBI Special Agent Wes Grey, who is leading the task force, is also Harlow's ex.
