Such a great suspense novel. We find Abby and sister, Nancy waiting for the results of their DNA tests. Abby had always wondered why her looks differed from the rest of the family. After work she locked the doors and hustled to her car in the rain. She found the lights broken around her car. Glass shattered, no lights in the lot. Afraid she heard footsteps then attempt to pull her from the car. This is the start of finding out who she really is.

Have read several of Terri's novels and I'm never disappointed. Lot of intense action with this one. Jace tries to keep Abby safe but they may both be in over their heads and assailants come after Abby. Who knew a DNA search could turn out so wrong. Good interactions between characters.

Ms. Reed's book hooked me from the first page--lots of action and tension. Plus, the characters are ones I can relate to and like. The events in the story are believable, not contrived, and I love how she includes the families of the two main characters in a realistic and supportive way.

The story and characters in this book is great. I love when the USMarshalls and drug cartel is in the same story. Jace Armstrong, Deputy US Marshall is tasked with protecting Abby Frost. She just found out through a DNA test that the man who raised her is not her biological father. Now she’s being attacked and doesn’t know why. Jace’s father and boss assigned him this job. Jace is finding it hard to do as his father asked by not letting Abby know that he was protecting her. Jace’s father continues to try and find Abby’s father, who disappeared before testifying against the cartel. Abby and Jace runs into trouble at every turn. It’s evident there’s a mole in the Marshalls unit. Can Jace protect Abby before the cartel catches them? Get the book and read it. There’s so much suspense, danger, and affection in this book. I received an advance copy for an honest review. That honest review is ‘that it’s a great book’. Terri is a great author, and I can’t wait for her next release.
