Who is the Family Man murderer? Is it the best selling author, his assistant, his publisher or someone else? Alex Cross and Sampson sift through the evidence to charge the killer. Meanwhile, Bree, Alex's wife, has a mystery of her own to solve.

Lots of moving parts in this one, with villains galore trying to frame others for their transgressions. Only problem is the detectives aren't quite as gullible as they hope and are able to see the plots.

This is another enthralling installment in James Patterson's Alex Cross series. Alex is a consultant for the FBI and DC Metro, joining his long-time pals Mahoney and Sampson. His wife Bree is now a high-end private investigator. In "Triple Cross" they are working two separate cases that end up intersecting with the involvement of a super research organization called Paladin, which leverages their vast algorithm and analytical capabilities to suss out previously unidentified patterns in past cases to predict the next moves and identities of criminals. Alex is dealing with a serial killer dubbed "The Family Man" because he kills entire families, including children, while they are sleeping in their beds. Bree is off to New York to investigate members of a fashion empire suspected of human trafficking. I found it very entertaining that Patterson would make a famous author of mystery and crime novels a major suspect in the killings. Was the flamboyant author just a little too good at pointing out things to the police that they may have missed? Equally as fascinating was the description of Bree's undercover work as a socialite attending parties thrown by fashion industry executives. I am so delighted by the inclusion of quality family time in these novels. Nana Mama is the consummate cook and dispenser of wisdom; Ali is the precocious younger son; Damon checks in from college; and after a record-setting day at the track, Jannie makes her college choice, which delights her parents. It wouldn't be an Alex Cross book if a foe from the past didn't make an appearance, which happens just as both cases are resolved. I found the ending to be surprising and satisfying, despite what many readers will consider to be a major loose end, because it whets my appetite for the next Alex Cross book.

The book was really good as always I have always like Alex cross I am Intrigue with bringing em back I like that part but also 2 at some point I want to see Alex get The upper hand on these psychological criminals it's almost like he just keeps going in a circle so 1 crime at a time and that's it so the book was good I would recommend it but It's the old same story

Once again James Patterson came through with an excellent Alex Cross story. I wish it would have had a better ending though. Now I will have to buy the next one to tie up all the loose ends. Hopefully it will only be one more book. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a mystery and of course all fans of Alex Cross
