Uncle Tom's Cabin (Wordsworth Classics)
Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Edited and with an Introduction and Notes by Dr Keith Carabine. University of Kent at Canterbury. Uncle Tom's Cabin is the most popular, influential and controversial book written by an American. Stowe s rich, panoramic novel passionately dramatises why the whole of America is implicated in and responsible for the sin of slavery, and resoundingly concludes that only 'repentance, justice and mercy' will prevent the onset of 'the wrath of Almighty God!'.

These were books I remembered reading as a child, and I really have a nice collection of classic books. I was worried that this one would disappear as many of the old books are getting pulled these days. I am happy to have this in my collection.

I bought 5 different books total, 4 were larger so this smaller one was tossed around in the deliver box I am guessing as all were loose. I was so disappointed buying it new ,for a gift, to find the cover in such bad shape. All the other books were fine they fit the box size, but not Uncle Tom's Cabin it was to small for the large box to much room to be moving around in. Was happy with the other 4 books. All were to be gifts. :(

Great edition with wonderful typesetting. The novel itself is also well worth the read. Stowe’s work was both of and before it’s time. This should be required reading for all high school students.
