When I Talk to God, I Talk About You

From Chrissy Metz, star of the hit NBC television show This Is Us, and Bradley Collins comes a gorgeous, heartwarming picture book of faith, prayer, and the loving bond between parent and child.

When I talk to God, guess what I do?
It's really quite simple: I talk about you.

From bears and otters to rabbits and raccoons, these animals describe the many things they pray to God for as their little ones grow right before their eyes. With stunning illustrations from Lisa Fields, this is a touching ode to unconditional love and the perfect book to help introduce little ones to prayer.

Perfect for fans of Matthew Paul Turner's When God Made You, Rachel Held Evans's What Is God Like?, Lisa Tawn Bergren & Laura J. Bryant's God Gave Us You, Ainsley Earhardt's I'm So Glad You Were Born, and Joanna Gaines's The World Needs Who You Were Made to Be.

This book is an exquisitely illustrated and beautifully written celebration of the joy and love that our children, and their children, bring into our lives. I really appreciate how serenely the book also let's our children know that, just as parents talk to God, they can too. Perfect for my two years old grandson!

I received this book yesterday and couldn't wait to read it. The illustrations are incredible and very eye catching. The story is wonderful for children and a great example of the love felt for children. I can't wait to read it to my great-nephew on his next visit! It's a beautifully written and illustrated book!

I received my first copy of this book yesterday, and it is beautifully written and illustrated. I've added it to my huge library of children's books that my children loved, and that I hope to share with grandchildren one day. As an English teacher, I love most types of literature, especially the classics. This book is destined to become such a piece!

Even though my children are older, the sentiments and emotions you get from this book, as well as the accompanying album still resonate to this day. The words and the illustrations make you feel so much, no matter what the ages of your children are, Chrissy Metz and Bradley Collins created something beautiful here that will be around for a very long time. Heartwarming.

I very seldom write reviews BUT I felt compelled to write one for this lovely book. I ordered it as a gift for my 7 year old grandson without knowing exactly what to expect. All I can say is that as I read each page, I felt like I had written this book for my grandson. Word for word it is exactly how I feel and what I would tell him. It’s beautifully illustrated and I know that anyone who buys it will not be disappointed.
