Alaskan Avalanche Escape by Darlene L. turner Sabotage in the mountains… Can this K-9 sniff out the truth? After surviving a sudden avalanche, mountain survival expert Jayla Hoyt and her search-and-rescue K-9 discover that it was no accident—someone deliberately triggered the mountain explosion. To uncover the culprit, she’ll have to partner with Alaska park ranger Bryson Clarke, a man she doesn’t trust. But when the investigators become targets, can they capture the criminal mastermind…before they’re buried alive? This is Jayla Hoyt and Bryson Clarke's story. Rumbles beneath her feet increased with every pulsating heartbeat that consumed mountain-survival expert Jayla Hoyt’s body. Her muscles tensed with a rush of adrenaline as a cloud of white powder filled the air, blocking the blue sky. She recognized the familiar whumping sound. Mounds of snow were collapsing—fast. “Avalanche! Take cover!” But there was nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. Jayla had checked the weather and mountain particulars before bringing the small group for a survival-training excursion on this cold, sunny February day. The conditions were good—so whathad caused the mountain to respond by hammering them with tons of snow? In addition to her search and rescue skills, she also taught different teams how to survive on the mountain. She’d set out with a group of two police constables; her team leader, Ethan Ingersoll; and Herc for an in-depth introduction to deadly conditions. Alaska park ranger Bryson Clarke read the contorted expression on Jayla Hoyt’s face. She was not happy to see him, and he didn’t blame her. The last time they worked together had not ended well. His delay in responding to a dangerous situation had cost her team member dearly. The mission had happened six months ago and still haunted Bryson today. He wished for a do-over, but he didn’t have a time machine to make that happen. After attending counseling sessions to deal with his mistake, he was not only a better person but had also grown in his role as a law enforcement park ranger. If only he could prove his integrity to both Jayla and his father. Bryson concentrated on the task at hand, drew in a breath and walked over to Jayla. “You okay? Everyone accounted for?” Her bottom lip quivered, and her gaze shifted to a discarded ski boot. I recommend reading. Alaskan Avalanche Escape by Darlene L. turner is a wonderful well written 5 star book. I am looking forward to reading more books by Darlene L. turner. Great story, all the characters were believable and endearing, and the star of the show, Hercules, was awesome! Enjoyed reading it.

Jayla is working a mountain training with her Search and Rescue dog Hercules when her boss is swept away by an avalanche. When she can't find him, she teams up with Alaskan park ranger Bryson, a guy she doesn't really trust, to investigate some suspicious avalanches along the Alaska-Canada border. But someone does not want them figuring out what is going on! The action keeps this story moving forward rapidly. Can they learn to trust each other and find the answers? Read this to see! The pace is breakneck and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with an action and character oriented storyline that has a few kisses but no steam. The characters are vibrant and engaging, especially Hercules! The Christian ideals have a major role to play in the storyline. The twists and turns keep you guessing until the very end of the story. If you like your Christian romances with lots of action, some surprises and some thoughtful Christian discussion, then this is for you! Enjoy!
