Disappearance in Dread Hollow (Lookout Mountain Mysteries, 1)

This is a great start to a new Romantic Suspense series. It has it all and it comes together nicely. Looking forward to the next one!

Disappearance In Dread Hollow by Debra Webb is the first book in the Lookout Mountain Series. This is another well written story by this very talented author. I have read a lot by this author and she never disappoints. This is an action packed mystery thriller with some romance added in. It is a fast paced and very quick read. Like always, Ms. Webb’s writing brings many surprises and twists. A very good story with a satisfying ending. This is one author you want to read. Thank you Harlequin Intrigue and Debra Webb for another terrific book to read and review. This is the first book in a new series by author Debra Webb. It is called the Lookout Mountain Series. This first book is set in the small town of Dread Hollow. A local deputy, Tara Norwood, is contacted by a local teacher, Deke Shepherd, when he finds out the parents of one of his students are missing. The missing couple case soon has ties to an old case of a missing man and a lot of missing money. This was a good book- string plot and characters that you can be invested in- looking forward to reading more in the series!

Jacob's parents disappear and he doesn't want to tell anyone. Jabobs teacher notices something is not right about him and enlists the woman he loves, the town Deputy, who told him to move on without her, to help him figure out what happened to Jacob’s parents. The characters are great and the plots are just enough to not get lost. I enjoyed this read very much.

Nice balance of mystery and romance with a story that keeps your attention. 9 year old Jacob's parents have gone missing. His teacher, Deke Shepherd, knows something is wrong and convinces Jacob to tell him what it is. Deke knows he must call in the authorities. Which means seeing his ex Deputy Tara Norwood. He doesn't know what went wrong between them and isn't exactly over her. While working this case, Tara and Deke will be forced to confront their feelings for each other while trying to find Jacob's parents. Then, the unthinkable happens. Jacob goes missing as well. Can they save the whole family before it's too late?
