WHAT is Global Class?
The business world has changed and to stay ahead companies have to think, operate and scale differently. Companies need to adopt a new mindset and build distributed teams with a unique set of skills to succeed in new markets. A new strategic approach and revision to the agile methodology are necessary to better balance the need to localize with the complexity that localization creates.
To date, business leaders have had to learn how to scale globally the hard way - through trial, error and failure - since no guidebook existed to light the way... until now.
Enter Global Class.
Global Class is the playbook that teaches you how to build teams, manage a diverse international footprint, and balance cultural differences to scale globally by focusing locally. Through case studies and insights from more than 250 of the world's fastest growing companies, Aaron McDaniel and Klaus Wehage illuminate what this new class of business ("Global Class Companies") do to succeed, who are the catalysts of their growth ("Interpreneurs") and how they do it.
From market entry to international growth, Global Class introduces a comprehensive tool kit of practical frameworks that provide a blueprint for how to build and manage a global business.
Global Class is the essential playbook for reaching global scale for businesses of all sizes and stages.
Global Class' mission is to make global growth a shared experience (instead of the solitary one it traditionally has been) and save companies time and money that is often wasted in the process of approaching international growth, the wrong way.

Aaron and Klaus were able to capture the many challenges facing companies pondering global expansion today, and more importantly, provide key insights and models to consider. As a business leader with aspirations to scale internationally, this book is highly relevant with engaging lessons that I know I will try to apply. With the fast changing evolution of the tools needed to succeed as a global business, this is a must read for current and future executives.

While most of the media talk and books about business focus on Silicon Valley tech and software businesses, not all businesses are apps, and companies with physical products (like the company I work for) don’t work the same way. The authors of Global Class really got this. I feel like they made an effort to build frameworks and concepts so that they apply to businesses with a physical product, making their framing more universally applicable. Highly recommend!

My copy arrived today and I cannot be more thrilled. I am already a big follower of Aaron McDaniel and his work at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. He and his fellow author Klaus Børme Wehage have created a trusted guide for business leaders looking to expand internationally. I can tell this will be a permanent reference guide for me and my staff. It will likely be a much appreciated gift I will share for business partners as well!

I just got my copy of Global Class. The book describes everything you need to know about building a global organization. It is inspired by real company stories, rather than theory! In addition to entrepreneurs and executives, the book can be very insightful for investors supporting the global expansion of their portfolio companies. The core concept of the book is to expand globally by focusing on local markets. To compete in the long term, companies need to have a global viewpoint from their earliest stages.

The book is a great read and very informative. Aaron and Klaus spent many years working in international business and bring their experience and knowledge to the table. The book is a great resource for any company interested in expanding into other markets. It provides an overview of many major topics related to business expansion, including culture, team building, localization, finding product-market fit and managing a global organization. The writing style is easy to understand, and it is full of engaging stories and case studies that will help you relate to the material. I would recommend this book not only for companies that are already operating internationally (or considering expanding) but also for those who are new to international business. The authors cover all aspects of international expansion from start up through scaling up your business model into a globally competitive company. They also provides many frameworks for evaluating your current practices and creating plans for future growth.
